Last year, at the home opener, they played Blur - Song 2 after goals. Then, they switched to the Ole song because I heard it won a fan vote.

Any word on what it will be this year at The Rock?

I'd take pretty much anything over the Ole song again.

im not a big fan of the Ole song...its alright, nothing special.

i agree, Rock and Role Part 2 was awesome...but it doesnt look like thats coming back anytime soon. id be intersted to see what we go with this year

It would be an awesome almost homecomming, after the first goal is scored and everyone jumps up, horn blasts, then rock and roll starts playing, the place would probably fall down from everyone being so loud.

Devils are working on a new song, I know for a fact they contacted Zakk Wylde from Black Label Society who is also Ozzy's guitarist to do something, don't know if they're going to use it.

1. A lot of teams have stopped using it because the NHL asked them if they would, didn't demand, just asked.

2. The Rockies were the first team to ever use that to celebrate scoring, so it's only symbolic for our franchise to use it.

Actually NO other sports stopped using it and some NHL franchise chose to follow suit. Dallas never stopped using it.

Rockies first ever to use it? I dont think so.

It was, but apparnently it is the Caps new goal song (they played it after they scored at their preseason game Sunday).

At least how they use it. In the original Bouncing Souls version it sounds alright, but they cut out parts and edit for the games. It sounds forced.

I LOVE rock and roll pt 2. I know, Gary Glitter is a peder-a$, and thats why we can't use it. I think its better if he keeps accumulating money while he sits in a Thai prison with no way of spending it.

I'd rather have whoomp there it is then the Ole song.... hmm, maybe not.

How about something we could raise the roof too :sarcasm: The Bruins are lucky, dropkick made TWO songs for them that they could use

This must be...idk...the 1000000000000th time this have been talked about. Bottom line, glitter doesn't own the rights to the song anymore and sees nothing from it at all. The devils stopped using it for whatever reason, and will not return to it no matter how much we liked it.

Zakk is actually from Jersey so that'd work nicely. What would be really cool is if they used "Fire It Up" as the entrance song.

I’m with ya…stay in just about any Jersey bar long enough and you’ll surely hear that song by the end of the night. Even worse, there’s usually a pack of drunken girls that’ll get all excited when they hear it.

My personal pick for best Jersey artist would have to be Pete Yorn, though most of his stuff is too mellow for any serious consideration (though I wouldn’t mind hearing it during a stoppage instead of friggin’ “Who Let the Dogs Out”)…I want the sound guy fired on the spot if he plays that in the new building.

I was thinking that too...though them saying it was nothing compared to the Redskins fans who did that - nearly the entire stadium of 90,000 would yell that there (not sure if they still use that song or not now though).

It kind of caught on with some other sections at CAA too, you could definately hear it on the TV broadcast, especially in the playoffs.

Totally agree with you. The games I went to, when the Devils scored... I just couldn't feel it - and it seemed like everyone else around me couldn't either.

dude i was thinking the same exact thing yesterday, no joke. I second that notion completely. Brass Bonanza is amazing.

hearing the Blues still using an organ version of "When The Saints Go Marching In" just made me feel nostalgic for that kind of stuff. I'd love to bring it back realllllll old school.
