I am glad Clarkson is #23...I am hoping I can get Gomez removed and him on my jersey!

#23 is a strange number for a physical winger... Clarkson should've kept #27 and Mottau could have had #23. Oh well.

Could have been worse. Jim Carrey could have had #23.

That's the reason why I never had numbers/names on my jerseys. Although I might make an exception for #4. The worst is when they charge by the letter and your favorite player has a name that stretches over the shoulders (i'm looking at you Langs) ;)

Who charges by the letter? I have an Authentic Langs jersey and it cost me the same price as a regular jersey (thank you exchange rate in Canada about 4 years ago!!)

Granted, I haven't had letters stitched on in a long time, but they used to charge by the letter. Which would make sense since it costs them more the more material they use.

They don't do that anymore!!! Thank goodness, considering Jamie has the longest last name in the NHL!!

This has definitely thrown me for a loop. I got my jersey already and was going to have #'s put on it, originally wanted one of the kids, either Greene or Clarkson (loved him as the new 27), but now I don't know if I should stick with a Gionta. 23 would be too much too soon of Gomer's old #. Maybe I'll just go with Zajac, 19 is a good one.

yea thats how they use to do them. you had to pay for each letter and number. kind of stupid, I am glad they dont do that anymore.

I think of #27 as a defenseman's number, although #23 is a little different... when I see #23 I think Driver or Gomez, though Andreychuk did wear it while he was here.

Elias has always been listed as a center. As long as I can remember. Don't ask me why though.

he's listed as a centre because that's how he was drafted.

Do journalists check player lists before they write articles?

Read this today :

JL's linemates, Travis Zajac and Zach Parise may find Barry Tallackson as the reasonable facsimile of Langenbrunner if Tallackson ever figures out how to add some "oomph" to his game.

Well I guess I'll put this here in the most recently posted # thread,

From the Colin White has eye damage thread from Richer's Ghost:

"Update* Sheldon is on the roster now - #8. I guess he leapfrogs anyone down in Lowell for now - that wasn't there yesterday when I looked after the announcement"

Here's to Brookbank being more Peluso/Larionov(pre-Devil days) than Brown/Larionov(with NJ). :yo:

Hmmm an Enforcer who can score. You guys realize he got more points than Bergfors ever did in the AHL? LOL
