Don't know if you've already seen it or not but here it comes:

Lukowich is really a great guy and I wish him the best down in Tampa. He sounds like he and his family really loved it down there and really wanted to go back. You can't be mad at a guy like Luko for doing that.

I loved Luko while he was here in Jersey. Why did we let him walk?

I have to admit that I was one of those who ripped on Lukowich when he was first acquired by the Devils, but when he left I was disappointed to see him go. No hard feelings from me towards him or Rafalski, they both "went home" in one way or another.

IMO he was a decent bottom pairing guy that as discussed in many other threads was redundant when you already have White and Matvichuk on the team. Lou didnt see it necessary to resign him and i happen to agree, he wasnt getting any better and the devils were obviously interested in changed the make-up of the franchise a bit so you let guys who really dont stand out in any way go to try something different.

yeah me too. I was like "Yeah okay he was in Tampa but why him?!"
In the end though, I really did enjoy him I thought he always played hard and he TRIED to fill the physical role in the D pretty much until Armstrong threw and elbow at him and damn-near concussed him.

prob not ......but to be honest wouldnt mind him here over karel, but what you gonna do, hes not really gonna make us or break us, but as a 4-5 guy he would have been better than what we have. I really hope there is truth to the Markov rumor, regardless if and when Whitey is coming back, our d this year is a little suspect, and one or 2 injuries we are really going to be up **** creek without a paddle.
If there is a way to make it ahppen Lou will be able to pull it off, and to me this cou;d be a great time to pull the triger I dought he will get the 3mil he was asking for....2.25 for a year if it happens.

Not to bring up bad memories or anything, but i never actually saw the play you guys are mentioning with Staal and Luko. Does anyone have a link for it on YouTube? Thanks in advance! ;)

Me too. A warrior. Stepped up big time, playing quality minutes when our defense was decimated last season. An unheralded reason why our D finished tops in the East.
Never forget his reaction after his game winning goal against Philly...
This season, with a gimpy Matvichuk and the unkown injury status of Whitey, he would come in pretty handy right about now.
