Palmieri inks 3 year deal

Can't disclose details yet, but it's definitely a 3 year contract and assuming a 250k signing bonus to be paid in installments. On a side note, from inside info, Lou and the scouts told his agent that they are very adamant about getting Nick on the big club next year, and they were extremely happy with the way he played, adding that he was an incredible steal falling to the third round.

Sure looks like the the Devils plan to get younger and younger. Good for the kid and congrats. Now we can put together the Italian Line: Pando/Gio/Palmieri, plus Corrente.... We're still missing one Italian defenseman, let's trade for the kid on Toronto. :)

Yea, he is injury prone, but I still remember his rush and score on Marty last season, it was a beauty. Besides the name fits.

He's definitely a slick defensman, but he just can't stay healthy. He's out again to start the year.

Excellent to hear....when I read all scouting reports on him I heard a unmotivated powerforward with really soft hands and not a great skater. Everything I seen from him so far is that he is big, can skate and played intense so he proved all the scouting reports wrong...lets hope the reports were right about the scoring.

Well he led his team last year in scoring and I assume he will do the same this year.

Nice news to hear. Palmieri was the best choice I though from the past Devils draft, and I really do think he's got some upside as a power scoring winger.
