it's the canucks first preseason game... those guys probably wouldn't have even played if they were healthy right now.

the Sedins are expected to play tonight... but that's pretty much it from the main roster (that has been reported so far)... expect most of the regulars are out for both teams.

You guys are up against Sanford and Drew McIntyre tonight. Should be a fun test for the kids! It would've been nice to see Bertuzzi in action, but I'm fine with waiting until the regular season. :)

He'll be fine, it's not as serious as the puck to the throat he got last season and he got a shutout after that. I'm more worried about Salo's injury, with the amount of games he's missed in the last couple years, you'd think his body was made of glass or something.

My favorite part is how they're only now discovering "oh wow, Penner is a better playmaker than I thought." Because we didn't constantly talk about how he's not a goalscorer like his stats would have you believe and that he is a decent playmaker. But I'm sure our opinions are wrong because we know nothing about hockey.

Sorry for the late answer, but yes you are right. They use him a lot on the 4th line though because he is more offensively minded and because of the defensive logjam. Last year, he lead Portland in points at certain periods.

Wirtanen is leading the pre-season pack with 2 and 2 assists, followed by King with 2 goals and 1 assist. :)

I was at the game..

The game was pretty boring throughout.. Couple decent hits, a nice Sedin goal.. Good fight.

King was invisible.. Shannon got an assist.. Bouck saved a goal.. Getzlaf caused a goal... Bourdon caused a goal.. Parros was pretty good, I thought he would be a horrible hockey player, but he obviously has hockey sense.

Highlights are on TSN.CA. The 2nd Duck goal was a true "Duck" goal lol.

Vancouver fans have repeatedly said that King was very much like Shannon, in that he had a good preseason and vanished during the regular season.

Quite unassuming. Kinda like our old cap'n, Scotty. Especially when Scotty's standing next to his younger brother.

Here's what happened in the fight..

Burrows tackled Getzlaf.. They got back up, Burrows had G in a headlock.. G got out.. Burrows tried to hold on... G stepped back, threw 1 uppercut, and Burrows went down.. Fight over.

I didn't even realize we had a game. Yesterday even. That shows how little I care about preseason hockey.
