Anyone see that pahlsso had sugery?MOENing 09-06-2007, 09:29 PM it's on the ducks website Mooseduck 09-06-2007, 09:36 PM I understood that Sami had an abdominal injury earlier this summer. Nobody seem to care much at the time. Looks like he will be out 3-5 weeks. This was on the team's radar. Tough break - hope you feel better soon Sami - LOL - He will miss camp and London. :amazed: Fighter 09-06-2007, 11:32 PM He will miss camp and London. :amazed: How strange, I wonder who will play those games. :shakehead I feel sorry for the fans who have bought the tickets and booked a hotel there. Aeryn 09-06-2007, 11:53 PM Who knew hernias were a communicable disease... lux_interior 09-07-2007, 01:46 AM Who is pahlsso? Ducksforcup 09-07-2007, 01:49 AM Man, this off-season sure has been weird... Get well soon GOD! bleuer 09-07-2007, 02:06 AM How strange, I wonder who will play those games. :shakehead I feel sorry for the fans who have bought the tickets and booked a hotel there. oh please....still plenty of quality coming to Europe... ktulu98 09-07-2007, 02:32 AM oh please....still plenty of quality coming to Europe... yeah but it will be team without teemu, scotty, jiggy, samuel damn..still almost 1month to london, I just got weird feeling that we will see just small group of NHL players and lot of AHL players lux_interior 09-07-2007, 02:33 AM I don't think so. It's a regular season game that counts in the standings. I just wonder why they waited so long to do surgery on Sami. Spankatola Jamnuts 09-07-2007, 02:55 AM No kidding. This has really turned into a sour offseason. bleuer 09-07-2007, 03:09 AM yeah but it will be team without teemu, scotty, jiggy, samuel damn..still almost 1month to london, I just got weird feeling that we will see just small group of NHL players and lot of AHL players well...teemu does not have a contract, so he's not a Duck...so why would I expect him in London? If Scott decided to retire, we wouldn't see him as well... I don't mind if Hiller starts for the Ducks :) But...I don't mind them blowing both games in London as long as they win the cup again :D That's all that counts... TheJoeMan 09-07-2007, 03:19 AM Jiggy will be ready to start camp so he'll be in London. Really sucks that Sammy's games played streak is going to come to an end. It was a hell of a streak. I'd say there's a very strong chance we'll see Ryan Carter in London than. cmcdmania 09-07-2007, 10:30 AM Burke said that despite the fact doctors felt Pahlsson's injury from the playoffs had healed, he was still having "inconsistent recovery time and pain," so the Ducks flew him back to the U.S. from Sweden. He was examined by a Ducks team doctor and referred to Dr. Meyer. (http://ducks.nhl.com/team/app/?service=page&page=NewsPage&articleid=336767) Woah. Sucks for Sammi to miss his vacation. Good thing he already had his day with the cup. :D Pwnasaurus 09-07-2007, 11:05 AM That hernia dude's getting a lot of work lately. snarktacular 09-07-2007, 02:27 PM Who knew hernias were a communicable disease... So Marchant was patient 0, then to Jiggy, then to Pahlsson. Seems like Moen or Niedermayer's next. Or maybe it's a defensive defenseman's turn. Sandman33 09-07-2007, 08:09 PM How strange, I wonder who will play those games. :shakehead I feel sorry for the fans who have bought the tickets and booked a hotel there. :biglaugh: The Ducks fans have bought tickets and hotel rooms and plane fare to go see a game. And the Stars wont be there. cantskate 09-07-2007, 09:27 PM What I don't understand is why he waited so long to get this done. I guess I don't understand the timeline too well, but it sounds from the articles like he was having problems at the end of last season. Why not get cut right after the cup win and get it over with? princess duckling 09-08-2007, 04:38 AM wait, what happened to jiggy? princess duckling 09-08-2007, 04:42 AM that sucks. chaosrevolver 09-27-2007, 08:05 PM Is he expected to return anytime soon? TheJoeMan 09-27-2007, 08:16 PM Is he expected to return anytime soon? He's skating so I'd say he has an outside chance of playing in the three-game road swing after London. If not, gotta expect him by the home opener as with Jiggy. An end to a hell of streak. Don't have the number in front of me but Sammy Pahlsson's consecutive games played streak may be one no Duck passes for some time. Heavy Hussar 09-27-2007, 08:30 PM no, not anytime soon. Pahlsson and goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere, who underwent a similar procedure Aug. 6, skated with teammates Wednesday, but Carlyle said he does not expect either to be in the lineup for "two or three weeks." http://www.ocregister.com/ocregister/sports/ducks/abox/article_1852728.php bummer. i didnt think it would be so long. wildcat48 09-27-2007, 09:31 PM It not really all that long....They will be skating soon, if not already. They just need to prepare for the regular season with a small camp of their own. They should be ready for sometime in mid-October. After the home opener in Boston. (Oct 16th or so) | ||
