Mcdonald without selanne ???habsfan3131 08-26-2007, 07:39 PM Does he still a 80pts player ??? thanks luckoftheduck 08-26-2007, 07:43 PM Unknown...but probably more like 70-75. TheJoeMan 08-26-2007, 09:24 PM Yeah, having Bertuzzi on his line will help. Plus I think Kunitz will get the puck more so he should still rack up the assists. Bertuzzi will play with Getz and Perry...his style doesn't fit McDonald and Kunitz. Put Bobby Ryan with the Kuni and the Mac. Kevin Forbes 08-26-2007, 11:38 PM 2003-04 Anaheim Mighty Ducks NHL 79 9 21 30 24 That season, MacDonald was the third line center behind Fedorov and Rucchin. His linemates were a mix between Sami Pahlsson, Jason Krog, Stanislav Chistov and Cam Severson. mmbt 08-27-2007, 12:05 AM 2003-04 Anaheim Mighty Ducks NHL 79 9 21 30 24 http://hfboards.com/imagehosting/thum_50146d24d6c21207.jpg (http://hfboards.com/vbimghost.php?do=displayimg&imgid=8107) bradycook14 08-27-2007, 10:09 PM this guys getting better and better,im gonna say 90 points this year,he'll carry the puck more Mr_Jones* 08-27-2007, 11:38 PM this guys getting better and better,im gonna say 90 points this year,he'll carry the puck more90 points? Does that mean he'll score 65 goals? Cause I wouldn't expect more than 25 assists on goals by Bertuzzi or Ryan. luckoftheduck 08-28-2007, 12:08 AM 90 points? Does that mean he'll score 65 goals? Sandman33 08-28-2007, 02:49 PM Andymac is still underrated. He's the best contract steal in the league next to Zetterberg. Elvstrand 08-28-2007, 03:11 PM Andymac is still underrated. He's the best contract steal in the league next to Zetterberg. Agreed... However, losing Selanne would certainly not help Andy's point production. But I actually think Teemu is more depending on McDonald than vice versa. Selanne can be totally invisble at times (which is normal since he's a winger) while I also think McDonald can rack up goals many times on his own. What makes me think that McDonald's production might fall is less ice time if Getzlaf and Perry impresses and takes over the 1:st line. But on a first line I think McDonald is very much capable scoring 70+ points even without Selanne. likewall32 08-28-2007, 03:28 PM I know I'm hoping that his point total minus Selanne will suffer, but from watching his mastery in the playoffs, I'm not so sure it will. However, with the emergence of Getzlaf last year, if Selanne doesn't return, is there any chance McDonald is pushed down to the second line with Bert and Kunitz for Perry/Getzlaf/someone else? Alzner and Doughty 08-28-2007, 03:44 PM To follow the speculation path, has anyone thought of a line of McD-Getzlaf-Perry as your 1st PP unit at some point this yr ? Those guys are your 3 main offensive threats so far and I remember that McD had LW eligibility on Yahoo 2 years ago so hes probly not stranger to wing. What do Ducks fans think ? What do Ducks fans think ?McDonalds face off win % will keep him at the center position probably and Carlyle doesn't like to have all his "eggs in one basket". What I think the PP units are right now without Selanne and Ryan given 1 more year to develop... Bertuzzi-Getzlaf-Perry Pronger-S.Niedermayer if he comes back/Schneider otherwise Kunitz-McDonald-R.Niedermayer Beauchemin-Schneider if S.Niedermayer comes back/Huskins or Hnidy otherwise If Scott leaves, the 1st pp would be an umbrella with Getzlaf, Pronger, and Schneider at the point, Perry working behind the net and along the boards, and Bertuzzi as the screen in front. But if Scott comes back it would be business as usual with him being the rover. | ||
