OT - NHL 08 Player Ratings

I don't know if anyone cares, but the player ratings are out for NHL 08. Zach still got screwed if you ask me. Zajac, however looks good.

He's probably just on Lowell.

These ratings are awful btw. I'll be sure to edit many of them.

Parise's potential is too low, IMHO.

pando getting screwed again, his defensive awareness is only 80?

anyone see the features for NHL 08? its insane...you can custom EVERYTHING: type of stick, stick flex, type of blade, type of skate blade, color and type of glove and helemets...it was also runner up for the sports game of the year at the 2007 E3

these ratings are garbage all the way. look at everyone's slapshot power and wrister power ratings (all within 5 of each other). Gio slapper lowest? HAH!

Parise speed - HA!

The only thing I see that looks RIGHT is Gio's speed and Matvichuk's shot blocking (which could still be a 99 IMO).

There best be a roster update right away (after camp) to fix these ratings... they're laughable. If you average these ratings - our highest players are:

and parise was very underrated last year, he was like a 78, our defence but the worst was pando, he was a 70

You seriously think Cam is only 3 pts different than Paul Martin?

Cam should be rated in the 60s overall, and Martin high 80s. Elias and Parise should both be 90 level and guys like Gio right on the 89 edge.

Langs, Madden, Zajac all I would throw right about where they are (maybe drop madden a few notches) and Marty should be a 95-97 overall since he did afterall have a career season....

im pretty sure they weigh things differently, i think that different the catagories effect the players overall differently

Seeing how Cam is an absolute tough-ass in 2K7, I wouldn't mind, but no the rating system there is appropriate. That's why I was surprised. I'm used to Cam at 69 and Elias at 92ish, and NHL 08 puts them WAYYYYYYYYYYY too close together.

you guys understand the overalls posted on the 1st page are not going to be the real overalls he just took the average of all the catagories but different catagories are weighted differently like i said in a previous post so the overals are going to be different

I scored three goals (Amazing, I know) with Cam in my last season. And he just murders everyone he hits in that game. If he was rated anything above an 80, I'd put him on my second line to laugh at the ensuing carnage.

Probably to even out the overall rating. Thank goodness for the player editor. It seems like "poise" will be this year's version of "intensity" from the past few renditions.

I also wouldn't worry about the lack of Greene, since the IGN listings still have Fahey with us, so I'm willing to bet Greene is on Lowell. If you think about it, if Fahey, Rasmussen, Dowd, and Wiemer are still listed as Devils, who else is pumped to call up Dan McGillis and Grant Marshall from Lowell?

Hopefully. Apparently it's the same deal as it's been for all the NHL games of the past: If you play a game in the NHL the previous season, you're in the next year's game.

Now, I'd assume that same rule applies to the new AHL rosters, so I'm guessing that at least the major members of Lowell (Bergfors, Vrana, etc) will be in the game.

i think they were putting in the full roster because you are able to play an AHL season
