NHL center IceOvertime98 08-24-2007, 12:00 PM Anyone know when it goes on sale? for cablevision.... AllStarMe 08-24-2007, 12:32 PM I have been checking pretty religiously and I haven't seen anyting. I am for comcast in MD though, but I think they offer it at the same time. Here is the Center Ice website: http://www.indemand.com/sports/nhl/ crashlanding 08-24-2007, 01:00 PM It usually goes on sale in mid September, but it doesn't really matter because they don't show preseason games. Just make sure you order it during the "early bird" period, which usually runs through October. njdevil26 08-24-2007, 01:09 PM dont they have an online package? id sign up for that one Game Breaker 08-24-2007, 01:58 PM Whats are some of the package costs from the past? I will get it this year for the first time and I have been curious on pricing. jkrdevil 08-24-2007, 02:05 PM Does anyone know if osme of the Centerice games on Directv are in HD? Or will I only get the Versus, NBC, and HDnet games on HD? joeskow 08-24-2007, 02:14 PM no the games on Directv Center Ice are in SD... the only games in HD are a limited amount of games from FSN on CH.95 (maybe 1 a week) Versus games (not all) NBC and HDNet. but if they are NJ, NY, PA teams then only NBC (live) everything else is blacked out! MoonDragn 08-24-2007, 02:22 PM Anyone know how much center ice is usually? Comcast is already taking an arm and a leg from me. guyincognito 08-24-2007, 02:25 PM Whats are some of the package costs from the past? I will get it this year for the first time and I have been curious on pricing. I think I paid $149, when I bought it right before the start of last season. Can do it in 4 payments too, so your cable bill doesn't explode to $300 one month. MoonDragn 08-24-2007, 02:37 PM I think I paid $149, when I bought it right before the start of last season. Talk about internet highway robbery! thats like more than my entire cable service+internet! crashlanding 08-24-2007, 04:27 PM Holy crap! Talk about internet highway robbery! thats like more than my entire cable service+internet! It's for the whole year. It's less than $20 a month and it's well worth it. MoonDragn 08-24-2007, 04:30 PM It's for the whole year. It's less than $20 a month and it's well worth it. Oh! good! For a minute there I thought that was per month! Whew! guyincognito 08-24-2007, 08:40 PM Holy crap! Talk about internet highway robbery! thats like more than my entire cable service+internet! Depends how much you watch it. If you're going to watch it once or a week or less, then maybe it's not worth the money. I don't watch alot of TV... so, I watched it alot. I got more than my money's worth, and the 1st round of the playoffs is a nice bonus, too. You also get some limited World Juniors games (mostly US, maybe CDN, I was away at the time, I'm not sure), extra NBC feeds (although I think they're only going with one this season) and of course, the AHL and ECHL all-star games! :sarcasm: Personally, I think it's a great deal, if you buy it early. You can get it now, and get 99% of the games played (actually should be 100% now, since they added channels) that are televised for an entire season. Over a thousand games. Or, you could buy it right before the playoffs for $49 and watch the Rangers, Devils and Isles all make the playoffs and play in 5 of the 6 non-national Eastern series. That was a bad deal for the poor souls that got it last season. bense27 08-24-2007, 10:20 PM They only give you the first round? jkrdevil 08-24-2007, 10:25 PM They only give you the first round? First 2 rounds but except for 1 or 2 games most of the second round games are on Versus or NBC. crashlanding 08-24-2007, 10:38 PM They only give you the first round? First two rounds, after that everything is nationally broadcast. Lou's Koolaid 08-25-2007, 07:08 AM It's well worth the $ you can DVR games when your not home to watch live and FF through the commericals when you watch it. This comes in handy if I go out on a Saturday I still don't miss HNIC and coaches corner.:) wingmanpei 08-25-2007, 10:28 AM Last season was the first time I ordered Center Ice and I thought it was great and worth the money also. I live in eastern Canada and without Center Ice I would only be able to see the Devils play maybe 5 times a season. Plus having to listen to announcers from HNIC and Sportsnet going on and on about Ottawa and the Leafs makes it hard to watch the games, I am glad that my remote control had a mute button. I would like to get it again this season but not sure if I will be able to for financial reasons. My wife has this crazy notion about putting food on the table, putting clothes on the kid's butts being more important than hockey......something which I can't understand :D. But if anyone who is able to get it and are not sure whether to order it or not, I would recommend it. touffe 08-25-2007, 11:00 AM I'm in Quebec and I have Starchoice, this year they offer both NHL and NFL at $24,99 a month. | ||
