Hi guys,
Just wondering if there's any update on Pat Burns. I remember he was diagnosed with cancer a year or two ago, but I haven't heard much since, with regards to his condition. I thought figuring the last team he coached was your guys, that you might have some idea.

Last I heard he either made a full recovery or was well on his way to being fully recovered

Yeah he is on his way. He suffered alot with his two bouts of cancer and recovery will take a while. The Devils still have him in the organization as a Special assignment scout, because even physically not up to it Pat Burns is worthwhile just for his hockey head!

Cancer is a tricky disease... and you can't ever be too sure its gone. I would LOVE to have Pat back behind the bench, but that's a lot of stress to handle

Yes, he looked a lot better during telecasts at the end of the season than he had the prior season. I think he is almost fully recovered and I am glad he is still in the devils organization.

Lets let him enjoy life in florida. Seeing him when we make florida trips is enough for me. Sure it would be great if he coached again, but his health is more important. I wish him the best...

I would love to see Burns have a roll as a part time Assistant Coach up in the box with Lou and Albelin.
He is still a part of the organization.
It is great to see he is almost fully recovered.
