With the departure of Penner to the Oliers, who sees Ryan sticking with the big club this season? I think that he could use one more season in the minors but if he can take Penners minutes on a scoring line he could benifit too.
Thoughts.

I really like to see Ryan play the NHL due to curiousity, since i havent seen him play at all. I believe he might play a few games in the NHL but will spend most of the year in Portland.

The biggest problem isn't for us, it's for the OP. He's now sitting here waiting for serious responses to his question when everything he asked + more is already in a very, very recent thread with several replies.

There have been numerous Bobby Ryan threads on every Ducks message board, here and everywhere else there's a Ducks site and the answers are virtually the same:
Portland fans cannot accurately state what Anaheim or Burke are or will do; because we haven't seen him over a full season; just 10-30 games w/o the OHL (Owen Sound) as an option.
The most accurate opinion that is shared is Ryan definitely is still a project but needs to spend time in the AHL now that of which he is eligible.
Frankly, there's more pressing issues in the organization than just Bobby Ryan, which is a disservice to the Anaheim Ducks, and their affiliates.
