Who would you guys like to get in a trade?

I'm looking at Justin Williams of Carolina as somebody who we should go after. 3.5 million cap number. Solid two way player.

NJ gets: Williams

Car gets: Matvichuk, Brylin

Mr.Krinkle

Second time today I've seen Brylin mentioned in a trade offer. I don't get it, why the hate on him? He's been here since the start of this era and is solid, and he's pretty cheap.

I got to admit, I was scratching my head all last season when people were clamoring to get him back in the lineup. He shut me up quickly with his shot blocking and hard play in the playoffs, he looked like a rookie trying to make the team, not a 34 year old with a bad back. We need to keep him so he can show the younger guys how it's done.

I think White needs to go, if we can find anyone to take his overblown salary. He couldn't knock a mighty mite off his skates last year, took way too many stupid penalties and I don't know what I'll do if I have to watch him argue with the ref while the play is still going only to have the other team score any more times.

No one from Vancouver Eklund had a rumor saying "Vancouver says they're going to be involved in a huge trade with someone in the East."

Granted Carolina is saying they wanted to make some trades, but...with that Elias rumor floating it makes me a bit uneasy.

Also I can't get the exact quote because hockeybuzz is down, or at least not working for me.

There is always the possibility of a 3 team trade.

If Elias or Gionta gets traded I will not watch a single game all year.
Lou is very smart. He is not going to trade either player unless the Devils get back Ovechkin or Crosby.
I could live with Elias and a first for Crosby:biglaugh:

Did everyone forget that we need a d-men that can play on the PP.

here's my offer...

Bergfors, Tallackson, Oduya and a 4th round pick

VS

Philippe Boucher and a 2nd rounder

Boucher (who's 34 year old) has a rocket of a shot and he's pretty cheap. His cap hit is 2.5M$ for the next two seasons.

Okay, here goes:

Andy Greene, Matt Corrente, Petr Vrana, Barry Tallackson or David Clarkson, and a draft pick (no higher than a second-rounder) for Jason Arnott and Marek Zidlicky, if Nashville is going to dump contracts.

Parise--Zajac--Langenbrunner
Elias--Arnott--Gionta
Pandolfo--Madden--Zubrus
Rupp--Viuhkola--Brylin
Dowd and Janssen

Zidlicky--White
Martin--Vishnevski
Rachunek--Matvichuk/Oduya

Brodeur
Weekes

I really like how this lineup looks. I want to leave enough room for Marian Hossa to be signed next season. If not Hossa, then Heatley. Wouldn't that be something?

This lineup could win the Cup IMO. Maybe a trade at the deadline or a promotion, like Bergfors, at the deadline would put us over the top if necessary.

Later. Adios for now...

why does everyone think we can get away with offering quantity for quality in almost everyone of these proposals? lets get real not every GM is a complete moron. you gotta trade Value for Value.

maybe
Gionta for (Salo +Bourdon) or Ohlund or Mitchell if any of them waive a NTC
Langenbrunner for Ruutu?
Langenbrunner for Vyborney?
Langenbrunner for Weiss?

just some ideals maybe not perfect value-wise but not a rip either way

PS nobody wants Tallackson he has zero value, he would only get an equally valueless prospect in return

I know you didnt claim that, but Langenbrunner plays a much more physical style which makes him more effective since they score at the same rate. No point in bickering the proposal made no sense to begin with lol.
