Young Rats improve
Development of rookies bodes well for second half
ALBANY -- The quick development of several River Rats rookies figures to be a good omen for the 2004 portion of Albany's hockey season.
Aleksander Suglobov, Tuomas Pihlman and Adrian Foster (who played only nine games last season) all have made significant progress for the Rats as they approach today's final game of 2003 against Norfolk.
Suglobov, a Russian who turns 22 on Jan. 15, has been the most impressive. He was off to a good start until a right knee injury Dec. 5 kept him sidelined for six games.
