Pirates and 28 Days Later -- the two best movies of the summer, easily. I've seen a nice chunk of movies this summer, though I haven't seen Bad Boys II or Finding Nemo yet so I'll with hold comment on them.

That was a horrible movie. It wasn't scary (though the gf (now exgf) seemed to be pretty scared in it). And to make matters worse, they came out with ANOTHER ending for it now.

I saw some Biederlack Jackets logo throws on the clearance rack at the Hilliard Rome Rd Meijers 14.99 was the last price don't know if the clearance lowered that price any more beyond that. But not bad for Christmas that had maybe 6 or 7 left.

It varies on mood.
My bass playing tends to run to the funky side. Not always, though. I just love yanking on those big ass strings.:)
On guitar, I could be messing with some slow blues, one day, Slipknot wanna-be **** the next day, then topping it off with some punk, or even southern rock after that. I love just about anything that's quality.
My drumming varies, too, but most of my experience has been in hard rock, of one form or another. :rant:

Just a band with my buddies. Started out as a James Brown cover band actually then since we couldn't find a singer that could do James properly we started writing our own songs. We have since disbanded. Only played about 10 shows.

I HATE cover bands, the only reason I was into it was the rhythm section parts are sooooooooo bad. Superbad actually I guess. We didn't have horns, just stripped down guitar, bass and drums. Our other band where we wrote our own songs, which spawned from the JB band, was pretty sweet though.

Actually, I've been in so many bands, I could probably take three guesses and hit the right one.:) I love writing. Never was much of a solo artist, but I've always enjoyed the group writing process. Unfortunately, I can think of only one band that I would call truly original, writing wise. Playing mostly in hard rock bands, guys with those kind of roots tend to end up sounding suspiciously like Stonemetaligardensmack, if you know what I mean.

What happened??

I got too busy with school, the new bass player they got was an F-up, the guitar player/singer/songwriter decided he wanted to do folk music, and the drummer went back to grad school. The drummer was the one I clicked the most with. Been jammin with him since high school, I'd really only wanna be in a band with him.

Good drummers are hard to find.
I've played in bands where I was a better guitar player (or bass player) than anyone else in the band, but would always get stuck drumming, for lack of finding anyone else sufficient.:mad:

Working pays much better, it's tough to beat finding a group of guys who aren't necessarily the best musicians but who have loads of spirit and enthusiasm and can just have fun jammin. Not even in a gigging band, even if its just you and one or two other guys gettin together to piss around over a few beers.

I couldn't agree more. As a matter of fact, this whole conversation is making me miss jammin' more and more. Maybe I'll call a few guys up....?
You're right, spirit and enthusiasm does count for a lot. Maybe more so than technical skill. Cobain was a prime example of this, as is Jack White, Jim Morrison, and a herd of other decent rock musicians, (or otherwise:))

I'm a big-time EA loyalist so I've been planning on getting NHL 2004, but I hear ESPN isn't too bad. Any advice? Any other options.

I had 2002 and just stuck with that -- I was several years into a franchise, but I also heard 2003 sucked. I love running a franchise and I hear that mode on NHL 04 tops ESPN so I think I'll stick with EA. I thought the damn thing was coming out this Wednesday, but now I guess its a week later. Damnit!

Stakenblacken (sp?), The Masterbating Bear and the bit where Triumph talks to the Star Wars fans are three of the funniest things I've ever seen on TV.

I also loved the bits with Andy, the turkish bath one and the Rolonda show were great.

Anyone near Columbus who likes Dave Matthews or Great Big Sea type music should check out the Carbon Leaf show at Scarlet and Gray Cafe tonight and for the next 3 Wednesdays. They are a great up and comming band from Richmond, VA and won an AMA award last year for best new band. As with most good bands they are hard to categorize. Kind of rock/celtic/bluegrass I guess. Equal parts electric and acoustic guitars with mandolin and penny whistle and great harmonies. The band encourages you to download, copy and share their songs (one more reason to like them in my book) so download a song a see if you like it. Also, thier website is www.carbonleaf.com where you can get some other freebies. They are great live though. So if you have nothing going on, Id suggest you check them out. I think cover is only $3 and I guess they have good drink specials at S&G cafe, but Ive never been there.

Yeah, I know this is a shamless plug, but they really are a good band. So go out and see a good band and drink a beer or whatever you like. There no football or hockey on so theres no excuses.

but seriously folks, got NHL 2004 yesterday. love the gm mode so far. had to go out and sign ling and hartigan before the start of the season. after five games, i'm 2-1-1-1. i scored no goals in my two loses. denis is awesome. nash leads the team with 3 goals. sydor is hurt already. wescott sucks (walser is much better and jlgp ain't bad on either). the default lines were a little odd (shelley on 3rd line).
i skipped 2003 games, but the game play on 04 is tough -- a lot tougher than 02 which was the last hockey game i owned. passing and hitting are tough (for me at least). i have to get used to it.
one funny aside, the first computer trade propsed to me was from colorado -- worrell and a scrub for nash and lachance. i turned it down.
richardson seems ridculously fast (for him). my one major beef is that the d-men jump way up into the play and my forwards end up on the damn blueline. i'm probably screwing something up.

Okay, I've gotten better, and it's starting to grow on me. Took a 7-2 whippin' from the Canucks, but have been undefeated in my last four games.
Have only been in two fights (it took me a couple of games to figure out how to initiate). First fight was Thibault vs. Denis.http://hfboards.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Hilarious, I didn't see it coming! Very cool. ( Denis lost) :blush:Other fight was Shelley vs. Legwand. (Shelley won):p
My defensive play is terrible, and Denis is giving up a lot of goals, but that's probably my fault. I get so obsessed with ramming everyone, I forget to keep an eye on the puck.Boy, the commentators don't hesitate to lay into ya' when you're down a couple of goals, do they?
Right now my biggest beef is with Westcotts lack of attributes. I don't think the programers give him enough credit, and although I'm playing him, he's almost worthless in the game.

I'm not sure how you get the goalies to fight, or if there is a definite method. I've had that happen twice, and both times the fight meter said "Richardson" vs. "......" Then the goalies (Denis both times) start wailing on each other. How cool.
As for fighting strategy, I just wiggle joy-stick,hit the buttons as fast as I can, and hope for the best. (this seems to work during sex, as well .):joker:
But seriously....I've only been winning maybe one out of every four fights, so I'm up for some tips, too.
My team is currently 15-4-1-1, but I'm cheating with the player boost up 2 notches during a game. I feel I have to do this, because the game programmers felt the need to make the BJ's the slowest friggin team in the league, with almost no scoring attributes. (they got no love for BJ's.......):p

Goalie fights just happen, there is nothing to trigger them (that I have found yet). Richardson fights all the time for me. Sydor fights more than Shelley on my game too. For the record, I haven't won a fight yet.
I'm almost to January and have 45 points. Sanderson has a sick 34 goals so far and is by far the best player on the team. I started on easy and now have to move the sliders to other teams side because I actually want to lose (or tie) some games. I love the game play, but I hate that you're locked into whatever difficulty level you start on and only have the sliders to make adjustments. On other games (madden, ncaa fball) you can adjust the difficulty on a game by game basis if you like.

lucky *******. i was poor leading up to the first show, so i couldn't buy tickets. once it was moved indoors, i had money; but it became sold out.

I work with sheetmetal, too, but that's not what got me. I was trying to fix a rack with a prybar and it slipped out of the hole and konked me on the forehead.

Yeah, I guess musically youre right. But I guess its just that as you get to know the band a little better, they have the same type of feel that the old Dave Matthews Band had. Back when no one had heard of them and they just went around and played and you could tell they played just because they loved to play.

They also have been built through an ever growing grassroots base and encourage you to not only tape thier shows, but also copy and give out thier CDs. Just so the music gets out there. I dont know, I guess I like that thier primary focus is being a great live band and not worried about radio play.

I know that everyone goes on about thier favorite bands that no one has heard of. And half the people here are more into the heavy, hard rock type stuff. But if you do like Dave and other BNL stuff, you might want to at least check them out when they come back around.

Also, on a separate note, for the Canadians out there, how is the band Great Big Sea perceived in Canada to people who like the DMB/David Gray type music? I found them randomly on the net as no one's ever heard of them here and they became one of my favorite bands. I found Carbon Leaf when they opened for GBS actually. But I probably wouldnt like them if they were played on the radio all the time. Are they a big radio band in Canada?

Yeah, but the reason it says that they leave flexibility is because this board isnt like the general NHL talk board where you have 25 or more people logged on at any given time. Sure, by the letter, it should be in the off topic thread. But its not like these threads just dominate the board like the NHL board would be without the Lounge. Just look at how often our Lounge gets used. Its 3 months old and we have finally broken the 100 post count.

Just like I didnt like the preseason or camp or whatever sticky it was because you are talking about a lot of different subjects under one thread and have no way of seeing something you find interesting without weeding through all the other stuff you might not care as much about.

The Roll Call and Game by Game video highlights are great for stickys. But I dont know if I like the Crunch Talk one for example. Because in one thread you could be talking about game results, lines, and individual player performances and have it all mixed in with a real Crunch fan's posts on who should be called up from Dayton and who should be sent down and which AHL depth player should be traded for and so on. Jackets fans wouldnt care so much about the latter and would have to wade through stuff (potentially) to get to the former.

If it becomes a problem, then that rule gives you some backup to clean things up. But as long as we still have topics on the 1st page that havent been replied to in over a week, I dont think that we have a problem with off topic threads cluttering our board.

And I dont think youre power hungry, I just question your judgement sometimes. Not a big deal. Nothing personal. Heck, I usually defend you when 3mta3 digs into you! :p

I play around town at the Chillers and Ice Hahus (Worthington's ice is horrible.) Im still playing D league since most of our team are all beginners and I havent found a C league team yet. I just play defense and try to help the new guys out a little. I started coaching a month and a half or so ago, so my time for playing has been greatly reduced.

All right, went and saw the White Stripes last night at Promo West, and for the Stripes fans on this board who didn't go, you missed on helluva show. Jack White is a true talent, one that's needs to be experienced live to appreciate. I know there are fans here, I saw that in our "useless" roll call thread, so don't cower behind your computers, punks. There was also a display of mass hedonism (at least in the area I was standing in) that left this married fellow gasping for breath a few times. Good times!;) Good drinks, great music, and a free-for-all, fondle fest....

A little note for NHL 04 players...

So, I'm going into my second season on the game (CBJ lost in second round to eventual cup champs Blues) and I'm doing all my off season crap. When the computer poses me this trade.

I had to stare at the screen because I couldn't beleive the computer had offered a good trade to me.
You better believe I took it.
I didn't need Sutton and the scrub so I turned them into a 3rd and 4th.

I got various DVDs I wanted (The Tick, Mr. Show, BlackHawk Down), but I knew I was getting those. My wife did manage to surprise me with a cool Nasher bobblehead and the third jersey.

My girlfriend got me some cool stuff. I collect old Columbus Chill stuff and she got me that old board game they used to have and a Lizzard King logo puck. She also found me a Great Big Sea DVD, which probably isnt a big deal to Canadians, but they are pretty hard to come by in central Ohio.

The parents got me a Jackets 3rd jersey, but its a XXL. The second year in a row they got me the wrong size. I got a L Leafs jersey last year. :p

But it was a pretty good Christmas. The first one in a long time that I had enough money to really get my parents and girlfriend some nice stuff.

I dont know. It just seems like Metro is like the HF Lounge all the time. I mean sure, sometimes Im in the mood to be a little silly (the word association thread and most posts in the lounge are an example) but I also like that I can come here and talk seriously about hockey and the Jackets. It just seems like its all crazy all the time there. They just seem to take it a little too overboard or something there. Just a general impression though. I dont really have any examples to back it up. I just had no real interest in continuing to hang out there.

Various reasons, but pretty similar to yours--few posters dominating threads, etc. I also hate the constant gloomy attitude by a lot of posters; plus, there was a certain thread there a couple weeks ago that caused an uproar in which I was unfairly blamed for, well, just about everything from hunger in Africa to the Iraqi conflict.

I personally know and have met a lot of the posters involved in that mess, and their behavior greatly disappointed me.

Theres a 6 page "forum guide" so that you can understand what they're talking about. :joker: That started me off on the wrong foot. :p

I started reading that "handy dandy" forum guide and was getting a stomachache by the end of the first page. Maybe it's just me, but those people seem a little too full of themselves.

The only person on Metro that I've thought was cool from day one was Kick Save. He seems like a smart guy and he actually knows the game. It seems like 90% of the posters there picked up the game when the Jackets came to town (not knocking that, good for them) and they think their opinion is better than yours. I've been watching hockey for a LONG time, I watch whatever game is on TV no matter who it is. That way I know when the Jackets play a certain team, I know what to expect. I get headaches trying to explain stuff to them (all star vs. world class...the "art" of goaltending, etc.)

It's a good place to hang out and kill some time, but I wouldn't take anything people like JR, edm, or the rest of the fringe say seriously.

I'll go ahead and let it be known that, I too, am one of the people who picked the game up when the Jackets came to town, which should explain the meaningless babble I post occasionally..... :)

I just find it fascinating that there are people like Paris & Nicole in the world, and how they can get through daily life without some of the basic knowledge we all take for granted.

I can't wait for the next episode to see how Nicole's act of throwing bleach on the bar's pool table is going to be received by the Arkansas locals.

(My favorite episode was when the girls worked at Sonic...absolutely priceless. "Anal Salty Weiner Burgers", anyone? :lol: :lol: :lol: )

What are your more favorite places in the Arena District to go to either before or after the game? Some places I've visited are:

Buca di Beppo: Good food and atmosphere. Haven't had a bad experience there yet.

Gordon Biertsch (sp?): the food was OK, but the beer selections were plenty and very good.

Ted's Montana Grill: It was OK, if you like being packed in like a sardine. The food quality didn't make up for eating in place with the ambiance of a crowded elevator.

BD Mongolian's: My friends and I only went to this place because we wanted to try the Red Star Tavern, which had too long of a wait. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good (one price, all you can eat) and you can be in and out in under an hour, easily. I will definitely go back there again.

One place I would like to visit is the Wild Boar. Maybe it's just me, but it always seems to be way too crowded by the time I get there (can you tell I don't like overly crowded places?).

Any other places you all like to visit, or your experiences on the places mentioned above?

Frog Bear and Wild Boar is a favorite of mine, but not for dining. Food is average, but it's a fantastic place for a few drinks before the game, and in the summer, when the patio is open. The "scenery" there is first-class, especially among the female waitstaff. :yo:

Frog Bear and Wild Boar is a favorite of mine, but not for dining. Food is average, but it's a fantastic place for a few drinks before the game, and in the summer, when the patio is open. The "scenery" there is first-class, especially among the female waitstaff. :yo:That's MY problem w/BD's---I tell myself going in that I'm only going to have one bowl, and it never happens. I handle the "all you can eat" thing poorly.

So, we always end up staggering out of BD's and over to the Nat---and sitting through the first two periods in stuffed misery.

I like Gordon Biersch---we'll head there once a week or so during the summer, when the Arena traffic is light.

Some players used to head there for lunch on game days the first couple of years---Sanderson, Wright, Dino, and others were regulars after the morning skate on game days.

My experiences --

Red Star -- good atmosphere, but WAY overpriced across the board.

BDs -- easy to get in and out, enjoyable (don't laugh, but my wife and i had our rehersal dinner there), affordable.

Ted's -- really liked the food, but it does get cramped.

I've always wanted to drink at some of the nearby bars, but I'm usually too pissed or tired after a game to do so.

Dude, I practically grew up at the Florentine. My parents were good friends with the former owner, Joey Penzone. Haven't been there in years, but it wasn't the same after Mr. Penzone passed away.

The food is good, but, personal preference, I don't dig the family-style gig. You go with a group and then everyone has to agree on something(s). Much easier to order your own thing.

I'm too poor to eat at all those places. I smuggle in my own can of Mountain Dew instead of chucking out almost three bucks for a cup. I have been to Buca a few times when my whole family goes, that's usually about 20 people, so there's a good variety of food going around.

The stop was a little pricier than I expected, when factoring in pre-meal beverages and post-meal irish coffees, but well worth the stop. We hadn't been there before, but the place will definitely work into our pre-game rotation from now on.

I don't typically put much stock in the rumor mill, unless it comes from something published. Just my opinion, though.

I agree with 45, though, a rumor thread would invite all the morons from around HF to here. You'll see more "rumors" with Nash, Zherdev and Denis in them than with Cassels, Sanderson, Richardson, Lachance and Vyborny.

Everyone needs to make sure they have their clocks on this board set for the correct time zone so that the posts hit in the correct order. To check the time zone, in the User CP options click on Edit Options, look for the Time Zone option and make sure its on the correct time zone for you.

It was around for a few years, sort of hanging on the periphery, never getting as much attention as the Subways and Paneras and Grinders and Scholtskys and Quiznos of the world. I had it sporadically and thought, "eh, not bad." With some prodding from coworkers (and the fact that the closest one to me now accepts debit cards) I've been going to Jersey Mikes more frequently and, I have to say, it has evolved into one of my favorites.
It doesn't do one specific aspect of the sandwich better than any other establishments, but it is a very solid, reliable, well rounded sandwich across the board.

Hey everyone,

I had a neat experience last night that puts all the trolling nonsense we've dealt with lately in its proper place, which I will file under "Meaningless".

My 10 year old daughter's leadership organization at her school has been fundraising for Special Olympics since the beginning of the school year, and last night she and her classmates got to present a financial gift to the SO organization at the halftime of one of their boy's basketball games.

We were at the game from start to finish, and it was an inspiring experience, to say the least. It was a very entertaining game (it ended something like 51-43) played by teenage boys who exhibited a lot of heart and enthusiasm. One boy scored his first basket of the year last night (his parents sat behind me) and to witness the joy from both the boy and his parents was, well, you couldn't put a price on it.

My daughter felt good leaving the game last night, also. She left knowing that the work her group did to raise the money was going to a very important cause.

To the people who volunteer their time to SO to bring some joy into the lives of some great kids and their families (perhaps some of you have volunteered for them in the past), I say :handclap: . I will definitely look for opportunities to support this worthy cause any way I can in the future.

Thanks for sharing Foley. That's awesome. I did some volunteering with SO when I was in high school and remember it as a great experience.

Actung Baby is one of my all time favorite albums.

All time favorite band still has to be Dave Matthews Band. But thats resting on thier old stuff. Havent been blown away by anything lately.

For newer stuff, my next favorite band is an independant band called Carbon Leaf. If youre a metal person, which I think most here are, you might not like it. But if you like DMB or Great Big Sea those types of bands, you'll probably like Carbon Leaf. I'll give free CDs or MP3s for any who want them. (Band encourages it.) Almost every friend Ive given the music to, across a broad spectrum of musical tastes, has liked it.

Didn't care for "Toxicity"????? :amazed: That's one of the best metal albums I've ever heard. If you're comparing it to their debut, I think "Toxicity" blows it away. I liked "Steal This Album", but I've never been too into b-sides and crap that didn't make it onto the actual album.

Here's my list of favorites: Ministry, Rage Against the Machine, Slayer, Prodigy, Led Zeppelin, Depeche Mode, Dead Kennedys, System of a Down, Slipknot, Pink Floyd, Lords of Acid, Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, and Boards of Canada.

I also like a lot of DJs/electronic artists that aren't really "bands": DJ Shadow, RJD2, Dieselboy, Dara, John Digweed, Ferry Corsten, Zero 7, ATB, Felix da Housecat, and George Acosta.

We hit on a topic I enjoy in the Roll Call thread -- books. I though, instead of cluttering that thread, I'd bring it over here to the lounge.
I'm an avid reader and love all types of books. I'm a big fan of nonfiction. For a long time, I've been looking for a great nonfiction hockey book to read and am open to suggestions.

Let me give you a frame of reference -- anyone here read Friday Night Lights (about H.S. football in Texas) or John Feinstein's A March to Madness or The Last Amateurs (about ACC and Patriot league basketball respectively)? I think all three of those books are fantastic and have been craving a hockey book of a similar style -- a real sort of behind-the-scenes type book.

I'm sure all the Columbus-based people here would be shocked to find out that our local bookstores do not carry much in the way of hockey books. Anyone have any suggestions?

As an aside, for anyone that loves nonfiction and rock music, you have to read The Dirt by Motley Crue. You may laugh, but that is one of the most fascinating books I've ever read. I don't even like the Crue, but that book is a damn entertaining read.

I've read a book about Gordie Howe when I was in high school. Don't remember what it was called, but I remember it being pretty good. I also found a book on the evolution of goaltending, which I found to be very informative since I myself play goal.

Best place to check is probably amazon.com or maybe even ebay.

I was also a huge King fan when I was young, and like Kallio, I guess I'm still something of a "fan", but King's newer stuff doesn't really compare to his younger writing. I guess he still pulls out a decent one every now and then, though.
The Shining was the first book I ever read. My parents wouldn't let me see the movie when it came out, so I went behind their backs and checked the book out at the library. ;) I'll never forget how scared I was when the kid finally got up the nerve to go into room 217.......YOWZA. I've been an avid reader ever since.
My personal King favorites would probably be The Stand or Different Seasons.

Most of the non-fiction I read deals with physics, another interest of mine. Mostly theoretical stuff, nothing hardcore, I just don't have as much time to devote to reading as I used to. (I always seem to find the time to B.S. on here, though...... :shakehead ).

Oh, and DJ, thanks for the tip on Chuck Palahniuk, I'll be sure to check him out.

My favorite author is Tom Clancy, I've read 5 or 6 of his Jack Ryan books. I also like a lot of Micheal Crichton's stuff along with Stephen King.

Clancy's early stuff rocked, but I thought the whole Jack Ryan in the Oval Office thing was a little hard to swallow. Going back to Red Storm Rising, Patriot Games, Red October, hell yeah.....

Best thing Chrichton ever did was Travels. I'm not sure how much of it I take seriously (in other words I have never been able to bend a spoon in the manner he specifies) but it's an entertaining read, for sure.

Couple of good non-fictions that I'd been threatening to read, and finally got around to:

John Feinstein's A Good walk Spoiled, about life on the PGA Tour, and Bob Zmuda's Andy Kaufman Revealed!.

The 20th anniversary of Kaufman's death is coming up, and I'm secretly holding out hope that Kaufman did indeed pull his strangest stunt, by faking his death. I recently read somewhere that he had reportedly discussed just such a prank years before his actual death, and when a friend suggested that "disappearing" for 10 years would be the ultimate gag, Kaufman was supposed to have said that "returning" after 20 years would be much better.

I've read Palahniuk's first four books and enjoyed them, but you're right -- not for the squeamish. Survivor is one of my all-time favorites (I've read it twice).

As to Clancy, I like his books, but have always had trouble reading him because of all the techno-babble. I worked two summers doing landscaping at OSU (mostly picking up trash), but I wore headphones all day and listened to tons of books on tape. I used that time to take in all the unabridged versions of his Ryan books. Executive Orders was something like 35 tapes long.
Without Remorse is by far my favorite book of his.

I'm big into crime fiction, classics like Chandler and Hammett and modern guys like Ellroy, Walter Mosely, George Pellacanos, Elmore Leonard, Gregory McDonald (Fletch books, which are much funnier than the movies IMHO).

I'm not a big golfer, but I like Feinstein's writting so much that I bought a used copy of A Good Walk Spoiled. I haven't read it yet though.

It's hard to beat a good Kurt Vonnegutt book too.

I could babble about books and movies forever. Hopefully this will get us through the draft.

I'm bored, so it's time for random thoughts with Oz...

- Deus Ex is a great game. I never played it on PC (I don't play much on PC outside of EHM and Civ) and I saw it for PS2 at Gamestop for $8. Everything about the game just reeks of badass, but I still suck at even though I have it on easy. I suck at FPS :( I just got Deus Ex 2 for Xbox off of Ebay for $19 dollars, brand new. I should have it by the end of the week.

- Fantasy drafted another team in ESPN NHL. Here are my lineups after drafting from 6th overall...

The first line is disgusting, but the second and third lines need some work. Good mix of towers (Chara, Sutton) and offensive (Boyton, Tanabe) on the blueline.

- Kill Bill is great moviemaking. Both of them. Taken as the 4+ hour movie it really is, there is only about a half hour that I found to be dull. Pulp Fiction is still my favorite movie from him, but Kill Bill is a close second.

- I'm a sucker for "destruction" movies, so that's why I can't wait to see "The Day After Tomorrow". "Hero", even though it'll be subbed, will be a good movie also.

Agree totally about Kill Bill. I was shocked at how different in tone the second part was from the first -- considering it was intended to be one movie. It comes across as if he always thought it would be two. I loved it, but I'm a sucker for Tarantino. He has a style and voice that I love.

I'm skeptical about "Day After." It just looks like the ID4 guys are going to same well. I know it is nature this time instead of aliens, but how many times are they going to destroy New York? I'll see it though.

I just got through my Entertainment Weekly summer movie preview, but I don't know if I'm real excited about any of the movies. There are a lot I want to see, but none that I can think of off hand that I'm really pumped up about.

I can't think of any movie previews I've seen recently that looked even remotely interesting, but if I have to listen to any more of my wife's "Troy" talk, I'm gonna puke. I swear.
