Then again, the Devils were a first-round loser in 2002, so Pat Burns actually was Lamoriello's great finishing move. Plus, unlike our other finalist, Torre, he didn't bring in Weaver.

Lou Lamoriello, Devils. Downsized and still won for the third time in nine years, a tribute to not one great finishing move, but to consistency in approach and judgment.
