So far, I shelled out for the "Stanley Cup in a box" containing a cap I'll never wear, a commemorative puck that will sit on my mantle, a sign (also resting on the mantle) and my favorite, the keychain. I love the keychain.

I also got one of the locker room caps (which, again, I'll never wear) and a "Mission Accomplished" T-shirt, which should get some use.

I will be getting a Pahlsson jersey with the patch, which will get used once in a blue moon. Eagerly awaiting the DVD as well.

So what crap have you bought, what do you expect to buy, and where are the best places to get this stuff?

I still haven't ordered anything. I might today. Anyone know of a good place to get mini Stanley Cups? I want one for home and one for the office. Hopefully something around 6 inches tall.

EDIT: Well, so far I see some cool Cups for past teams on NHL.com, but none for the Ducks.

Team Store, they are ~30 bucks. 8 inches tall. This is what they look like (but with a Ducks logo, The "D" to be specific)

I saw that and couldn't justify the cost. It's just too expensive for a big hunk of plastic, although it does come with the white gloves and the case. It might be nice to drink out of at parties too.

OTOH, I think I'd rather spend the money on custom made table hockey. That plastic cup is like half the cost of a really gorgeous table, and I'll probably get way more use out of the table hockey than out of a 2/3 sized plastic Stanley Cup.

Stanley Cup related crap: none. My AWESOME Stanley Cup related memorabilia with collectible value :sarcasm:, however, consists of the locker room hat, which I already put to use this weekend for a graduation, and a box to hold a puck which I haven't bought yet. BTW, the cap is insanely more expensive from the team store, but I needed it now. I plan on getting a puck, a Pahlsson jersey with the patch, and the DVD. Interestingly, the puck available from the online store (or at least the picture) is different from the puck they have at the team store. The team store one is mostly red, it says something to the effect of "limited edition of 10000" on it.

For those thinking of buying the patch and putting it on your own jersey, it's actually a little different from the patch that comes on the jersey. It's thicker. Some lady at the store says that the separate patch can't be washed and that she ruined her jersey/patch by doing that. :dunno:

I have ordered all of my stuff off of nhl.com. When I put through my first oder, it was for 8 items. However that day it was free ground shipping so no shipping expense + the 20% off they are doing all june (pending how much you spend but mine was enough to receive the maximum discount).

A few days later I made a second order which was costly but I think worthwhile. Still 20% off but no free shipping. I ordered the gold picture of scott and rob holding the cup. It came to 80$ after the discount but shipping was pretty much the same amount which was a killer and made me think about getting it. I did anyways.

My favourite item so far is probably the Anaheim Ducks door mat (not stanley cup but still nice ). You personalize it with your name, 50$ CAD. It looks nice. Also the framed photos for 50$ are well done, although I only ordered one to begin with because of the discount and shipping. After seeing it, I would order one again.

High-quality chrome-painted ABS plastic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acrylonitrile_butadiene_styrene), my good man. Metal would cost a hell of a lot more, actually.

It only strikes me as a good deal because I'd get a hell of a lot more mileage out of it than a jersey that I'd pay even more for.

The only things keeping me from buying it are the dorkiness factor (which is partially offset by the fun factor) and that in this house, it would probably wind up getting scratched or worse at some point.

If they went the whole nine and actually "engraved" it, so to speak, so that I could see the plastic replica teams and players (including the 2007 Ducks) than I'd be setting aside the cash for it.

Really? I have a M in the old Ducks eggplant jersey and that one fits perfectly. I recently got the new black Ducks jersey, M as well and that jersey is much bigger. The logo that is across the chest makes the jersey fit very different since it runs across the jersey making it a little bigger.

Well, I'm 1.80m, 67kg...sleeves fit perfect with an L, and the length is good as well. I may look a bit lost in it...but here, where you have to wear a jacket to visit the games, it's maybe even a bit too small.
