What does the contract with Versus look like?

Is it expired?

Can ESPN 2 please pick it up?

It was ESPN who lost interest in the NHL.

I see nothing which would suggest a change is near.

It was a 3 year, $207.5 million deal. So 1 year is left I believe. I'd like the NHL to be on ESPN/ABC but FOX, FX, USA, NBC(exclusively), or CBS would be better IMO. Versus would be fine if they did more games than just Monday/Tuesday only and stopped showing the Flyers and Pens every week.

Wow, the Angels and Dodgers make about $60 million every three years from their contracts with Fox Sports.

They don't broadcast NHL games like crazy, but they got the playoffs and all the big games. Even though that seems awfully low, I think even less money to get on ESPN 2 would be a much much better situation. Having the games on some random cable channel is awful for the sport.
