I concur. No way. This is not a very deep draft. Unless something crazy happens there is no way anyone we could realistically trade up to draft will be any better than Corrente.

There is no way that package gets the #9 pick but would probably net the late 1st round pick formerly belonging to NJ. If there is someone that looks like an upgrade available around that spot i would give it a shot and call up Davidson.

Off-ice issues aside, Corrente still has the potential to be a top-pairing defenseman and holds an outside shot of being on the Devils next season. No way does Lou trade his last first round draft choice for another first round draft choice in a weak draft. Not worth it.
