With all these players taking it on boats or to the tops of scenic peaks, I think its a miracle that there is barely a dent in the cup.

Here's a question. Why does the Cup appear to list the Montreal Canadiens of 1969-1980 (seen here (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c8/Stanley_cup_closeup.jpg) on the center of the first "big" ring)?

I'm pretty sure the Habs didn't own that entire decade.

It's a bad camera, and a bad shot. The Habs didn't even win the cup in 69-70, but they did win in 59-60, and were succeeded by the Blackhawks in 60-61. I'm pretty sure that's what it says on the Cup, but that photo makes it damn hard to tell.

And damn that's a huge dent. I bet you ruined it for all of us. I bet they never let the Cup spend another summer in California again, ever.
