Anti-climatic

Did anyone else feel like the final run was somewhat anti-climatic? I was expecting them to win so much it was almost a relief when they did.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still extremely happy but I was wondering if anyone felt the same way about it.

I'm a bit the same. I've got a feeling of "this it?" and "what's next" Still feels great though, just wished the Sens had given us a real series to play.

to be honest I am glad they didn't beat them more than they did, the sens had enough anyways, and that score on their own goal was depressing enough for them.

The high from a favorite team winning the Cup lasts a few days to a week, then you start realizing you got addicted to them, and there aren't anymore games to watch or cool stories to follow, and then after you watch the tape of the Cup final game about 8 times, you start fretting about next season.

I feel the same way, Admiral. I told everyone that I'd be disappointed if they didn't win. Seriously, with the addition of Pronger, this team automatically became the SCF participant. Throughout the year, the development of the youngings with the addition of Prongs, and then all of the last minute heroics (due to Scotty) it seemed like this team was meant to win it this year. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they won, but there wasn't really a question to it.

I'm looking forward to next year where the line-up may change, the sophmore slump of a "winning it all" season, and the netminder situation would make things more interesting. Maintaining a championship level is harder than trying to achieve one. I'm ecstatic they won... revlieved. But i'll be more intrigued with next year and see if they can repeat because of all of the unknown variables going into next season.

man I was hoping they'd win in four.........don't let them up, kick'em when there down. I didn't feel safe until we were up by 4 with 2 minutes left...

It was plenty of excitement for me............ I'm sure glad they won it at home and I was there..... (I lucked out, I split my playoff tixs with a friend to save $$$$$)

2007/2008 Season Tixs already sent a deposit in......they have the main core of players, now they just need the support players again..........

2007/2008 is LOOKIN GOOD........:yo:

Sounds about right. Maybe I can settle down next season... I wouldn't even be that happy over wins this season, I was more pissed about losses.

A parking lot parade is better than no parade.

well...I knew that they would win...wanna know why?

At the start of the finals, I was on holidays in Malaysia...I had just finished reading my book, so I went to the book exchange and got another one...and in the first chapter (book was about crime in Canada, fiction), 1 guy is complaining because he has to work (he had tickets to a Sens game). So his Boss came to him and said: The Sens are not gonna win anyway...so, it was pretty obvious to me that they would loose to the Ducks :)

And after walking on Stanley Street in Singapore a few days later, even the small remaining doubts vanished :)
