"So to be clear, that's the reigning Conn Smythe winner, and not someone's crazy homeless uncle?"

Haha, I know. One would expect a sports star that makes 6 million + a year to be all blinged out or something, but Scotty's a different breed. I was showing my friends (non-hockey fans) a program from one of the games and they were looking at the player photographs. When they saw Nieds, they were saying stuff like, "that guy looks like a teacher or one of our dads. He doesn't look like a hockey player."

Speaking of looking like teachers, they also pointed out that our econ teacher looks frighteningly similar to Parros--'stache and everything.

He is one of a kind. Be glad we get to witness his greatness in person. When we got Feds, I had though I was watching the greatest skater in the history of the NHL. I was so very wrong.

Damn, my teacher back in elementary school was like a 60 yr old grandmother. :amazed: Time to re-enroll Billy Madison style.

I'm not gonna lie to ya, the first thing I thought when I saw the pic was "Gee, thats a pretty cool shirt Scotty's got on...". Then it was "God dammit he's gotta shave...". Then, "Mother Tucker, who's in the blue...".

So is this Scotty's day with the cup? He didn't take it to Cranbrook?

Even if it was, there is another resident from Cranbrook on this team. I doubt it was, though.

Also, with the Cranbrook thing, if the brothers both don't take it together for some two-day extravaganza, I assume Scott will let Rob have his day of glory with it in Cranbrook. He's earned it.

Come on, after a night like that he needed to lighten up and I don't think the kids mind to have a super well dressed Nieds. It wouldn't be useful either.

That shirt fits pretty well in an elementary school IMO ;)

He's very candid to the fans too.

there's a nice small artice on the LA Times today that Pronger and O'Donnel went to a hospital at UCLA for kids
One of the fathers said that his son has been in there for 6 years in and out and the only "celebrity" that ever came to visit the kids was a baby kangaroo
You gotta love our Ducks...:handclap:

No, I don't want to be cruel. They really did get screwed in that situation. But I'm saving it if I hear any backtalk from them.

Sending pictures to New Jersey fans of Scotty lifting the Cup is entirely appropriate, though. Bewildering how many of those fans hate him now.
