So would I, but Lou will make him earn it in training camp.
If Bergfors doesn't come to training camp all fired up and determined to win a job on the roster, then we should question his character and determination.

I would like to see the Devils bring Alex Sundstrom over and have Bergfors play on his line, possibly with Patrick Davis as the other winger.

I would let them all play one full season together in Lowell and hope that at least 2 of them will be ready for the NHL by 2008-09.

I want to bring Vasyunov and Zharkov over, too, but that may not be possible.

Certainly Sundstrom can come over and play with Bergfors. No reason to rush either one. When they are ready for the NHL, Lou will know.

And Matt Corrente can be part of a deal to move up in the 2008 Draft so we can pick Drew Doughty or Mike Del Zotto or Luke Schenn. Any or all of them may be ready for the NHL right away. Still, no need to rush them if they aren't.

The Devils lost the rights to Sundstrom because they didn't sign him by June 1st (at least, none of us have heard of him signing).

I think Zharkov might sign over here, but I'm doubtful on Vasyunov
