Saw a Devs Reebok Jersey Today....

I just happen to go into a sporting good store today and hand the chance to check-out the Devils new white jersey. It's pretty cool. The jersey is all white with red going down the side and the regular NJ emblem. However, I did realize that they did away with the black that was on the shoulders and elbow. If this is the actual jersey they will be wearing, a great idea would be to go with red pants with the white jersey and go with the black pants with the red jersey. I also hope they go back to wearing the white jersey at home games. Anyone else get a chance to see the jerseys and what do you thing about the white jersey paired with red pant's?

I think you saw the practice jersey. The new RBK jersey won't be in stores until the september. If there is a change it won't be unveiled until draft day at the earliest.

Also from what I have heard it is staying the same dark at home and white on the road.

I doubt the design is changing considering when they unveiled Trenton it was the classic design. The like to keep them all the same. If there would be a change they would have just shown the logo with the uniforms at a different time. Plus Lou is extremely traditional and I think he would fight any change to the uniform design that they won 3 cups in. Hell the Devils don't even wear the practice jersey they are supposed to which are like these new ones. They wear the old center ice ones from before the lockout.

i've read it in a few spots, but i couldn't supply a link as it's just been idle commentary on the side. there's been a general push for it, so i'd kinda expect it to happen...

same here, its the Broadway BLUEshirts, so id hate the idea of going back to white at home.

i also heard that the motives of going back to white was the exposure of the dark visiting uniforms, that way the home crowd gets to see more uniforms.. so , duh...

black is the main color that seperates us from the Rangers.......scary thought to lose that. :(

3rd jerseys are done with some teams made their old 3rds permenant.

You are correct. I went back today to Wonderland sports in Brooklyn and the owner did confirm what you said about the actual jersey not being released yet. I took a photo and the file was to big for my image host so I put it on my avatar. I still like lot. The white was gone so I shot the red one. And by the way, the Devs have even produced a BLACK practice jersey as well.

Weren't the red ones and the black ones practice jerseys for this season? I've seen them online and in stores a lot, and the red ones look just like the one in that picture.

In the WHL, the past few seasons the have split the season in half in terms of darks and whites at home. Personally, I don't mind the White's at home. That's just me though....

Agreed. And away darks are cooler for visiting teams... Some classic jerseys. As opposed to every visiting team looking much closer to the same. And I always thought our "away" reds with black helmets were intimidating and more evil looking, perfect for the road. Whereas our whites have always been the cleaner design and overall better looking jersey, which I'd rather see every day. Not even close in my mind, and have been pissed ever since the switch.

I've always preferred whites at home. Even now after a couple seasons with dark at home it's clear across the league that more attention was given to the whites in their design as home jerseys. The dark's for most teams are pretty drab and indistinct as would be expected for away uniforms.

The Capitals are a great example of this (Which brings to mind another question why the heck would the Capitals have a black uniform anyway? Too many teams in all sports wear black or have a black alternate. It's lost it's effect.).

I have an authentic NYR practice jersey that I bought from Meigray a while back for like $40. I always liked practice jerseys for some reason.
