Agree on basically every point. Very political, but pretty darn savvy and well spoken of Gomer. (Did sound a little bit like he was asking both coaches for a job...;))

I agree with everything Gomez said. I picked the Ducks in 7 also. I think he's right, every game on home ice will go to the home team in this series too.

I also think Scott IS looking to join the Ducks. I mean look at how he complimented Niedermayer. I think he misses being on the team with him and I bet if he has a choice between Ottawa and the Ducks he would go with the ducks.

With the exception of Madden and Brodeur, every active Devil that played with Scott Niedermayer, ate turkey in his dining room last American Thanksgiving during their abysmal west coast swing. I wondered then if Gomer was considering Anaheim as his next destination.

They don't have the $$$ under the cap for him. Otherwise he could go to them.

My respect for John Madden just tripled.

Maybe he had good turkey. I can't see Scott Gomez in a Ducks jersey. It's like trying to see Marty in another team's jersey. Not that I can't see Gomez playing for any other team at all, but Anaheim is the last place I see him going.

If the Ducks don't win, they may go after Gomer, but need to clear cap space. If they win, why bother with a six million dollar long term contract. And I agree that Gomer would love to be playing with Scott Nieds in Southern California.

I doubt he goes to either team. I still am preparing him to go to a higher budget team such as the Rangers or even Chicago for his payday. Only time will tell, but I think Gomez will go to the highest bidder, which almost certainly will not be the Devils.

Neither team makes sense. Especially if he makes the big money. The Ottawa rumor (and guess where it started) makes my head spin.
