which players would you like to see your team sign? or who do you consider potentially good nhl players?

top ufa is kenny jonsson, he's a top 4 nhl defenceman. he should come back to n.a., probably not though.

martin thornberg, jonathan hedstrom, magnus johansson, johan backlund, and johan davidsson caught my eye.

Of the ones youv'e mentioned, i only think that Kenny Jönsson is able to handle the play in the NHL.

Jonsson also hasn't shown much desire to leave Sweden and come back over.

Hedstrom left the Ducks and won't be back, at least in the near future.

I'm pretty sure Magnus Johansson is capable of playing in the NHL. But he's 34 and won't take any NHL offer he gets.

Although lesser known, Jaroslav Hlinka, Jan Marek and Richard Kapus have impressed me.

hlinka has never been drafted, Marek has a new contract in Russia, he rejected an offer from LA Kings

Thörnberg is a longshot to be on the swedish team, even more of a longshot in the NHL.

When Ville Peltonen got signed to the NHL again, I was surprised that Timo Pärssinen didn't get a second chance, he's sucking it up this world champs though, he's normally better.

Let's at least pretend that the first one is a joke.

Uram has played well and Kapus. Johan Davidson and Timo Kontiola as well.

The Jönsson bros aren't intrested, they've settled in for the rest of their careers.

Hedström won't try again.

Jonas Hiller has an offer of the St. Louis Blues. Couple other teams are interested to sign him.

There's also word that Goran Bezina was scouted by MTL.

That's 100% true. In fact, Bezina was scouted by the Habs and are hoping to sign him up before next season. I spoke with a few people who knew one of Hiller's associates and found out he has been offered an contract from the Blues. He hopes to make back-up for next season, at the least.

Well that is some serious insight from your people seeing as that signing was reported by TSN some time ago. It's not exactly hidden knowledge at all. And in fact TSN has reported that at least 10 NHL teams are interested in Hiller, and for good reason.

Well he has never been drafted but that guy of Switzerland who has a name spelled similar to Isles goalie would intrigue me. Maybe some team will try to lure him over.
