Finnpin 05-05-2007, 04:43 AM I just ate good spaghetti! That's only good italian stuff for me today! :D
I think we don't see many goals in this game. 3-1 or 3-0 for the Lions.
Bring on the Swedes and Hedström!
Streaker-man 05-05-2007, 05:15 AM Kontiola brought down to the 4th line. Viuhkola centering the first with Peltonen and Lehtinen.
And Sami Salo´s not coming

Yeah, everywhere all Finns are
talking about the Sunday game
vs SWE. Even the players and
to my surprise even Erkka calls
tonight's game "a good practice"
I find that a bit worrying and I
think the RUS - ITA game already
showed us all what sloppy playing
and sloppy concentration can
bring vs ITA.
C'mon Leo, rip n' roar - play today.
There's a game before tomorrow
too, with 3 points to gain.

Can you write down the whole FIN line up please ??
Talentless Practise 05-05-2007, 06:43 AM Is Strazzabosco playing for the Italians? If he is, it'll be a tight game. If he isn't, Finland by a landslide.
mikkoz 05-05-2007, 06:55 AM 1. Petteri Nummelin - Lasse Kukkonen; Ville Peltonen - Jari Viuhkola - Jere Lehtinen
2. Tuukka Mäntylä - Pekka Saravo; Tuomo Ruutu - Mikko Koivu - Antti Miettinen
3. Aki Berg - Toni Söderholm; Jukka Hentunen - Niko Kapanen - Jarkko Ruutu
4. Sean Bergenheim - Petri Kontiola - Tomi Kallio
Xtras Timo Pärssinen - Mika Pyörälä
Shack 05-05-2007, 07:44 AM what time does the game start?
17.15 UTC.
psycho_dad 05-05-2007, 07:47 AM Looks a bit like they are going to play another game like the one against Switzerland. Attitude problem right from the start, and facing a team who will do nothing but defend.
Finland should intentionally give Italy the puck and let them carry it...force them to attack. Then they cant all defend! :D

Finns know what to expect. It's gonna be a tough game, but if we can score early it will open things up. I don't think it's about attitube, this game will only test nerves and patience.
FiNsKa 05-05-2007, 09:28 AM Anything less than a 4 goal victory will be a disappointment for Finland. I predict 6-1.

Italy staying in the game for so long yesterday should help the finns. Italy was hopefull to get a point from russia and wasted their energy all game, so they might be a bit tired.
Also the unfortunate injury to Muzzatti will help Finland to score more, Hell has been good too though.
Shack 05-05-2007, 11:01 AM Also the unfortunate injury to Muzzatti will help Finland to score more, Hell has been good too though.
Yes, Hell has been really good and he can play without of pressure. That helps goalie alot and makes thing difficult for the oppositing team.
Talentless Practise 05-05-2007, 11:04 AM I thought Carpano was Italy's second netminder.
Matti_A 05-05-2007, 12:17 PM Hell kept Italy alive for a long period of time vs. Finland in the Olympics, so he will keep the score close in this game I think.
Matti_A 05-05-2007, 12:26 PM What a save by Hell!
Finland scores 1-0 PP :walrus:
Matti_A 05-05-2007, 12:44 PM "The Bull from Joroinen" strikes. 2-0 Finland :walrus:
Shack 05-05-2007, 12:50 PM Good period from Finland. No problems with attitube and Italy seems totally tired. Mäntylä injured, Finland playing with 5 d-mens at this gam.
zecke26 05-05-2007, 12:59 PM anyone knows here if muzzatti is feeling better today? is he on the bench?
Finnish announcer said, that there has been rumours that game versus Russia was Jason Muzzatti's last game of his career. But dunno what the truth is.
Matti_A 05-05-2007, 01:14 PM Italy hits the crossbar.
Finnswiss 05-05-2007, 01:34 PM Is the second Period really so boring, according to the live tacker there has been almost no shots on the goals?
Shack 05-05-2007, 01:37 PM Is the second Period really so boring, according to the live tacker there has been almost no shots on the goals?
Really boring period. Coast to coast surfing. Finland had alot of shots off the target.
Matti_A 05-05-2007, 01:49 PM 3-0 Viuhkola :walrus:
