Has anyone seen him play? How is he doing, is he getting alot of ice time. I would imagine he would be doing great in front of his fellow countrymen.

I would imagine he would be doing great in front of his fellow countrymen. havent seen russia yet, but i guess he gets a lot of ice-time. he stats are 1+0 in 3 games. Den 05-03-2007, 09:13 AM Not too good, but he's got a cold Kaktus 05-03-2007, 09:24 AM Malkin did not show a lot so far. Him or Ovechkin. sivert 05-03-2007, 09:42 AM He seems to be our worst centre through first 3 games despite having a lot of ice time, but it's not hard to explain. Changing time zones and cold msky 05-03-2007, 10:47 AM He's ill and looks tired slade 05-03-2007, 10:49 AM isnt morozovs line the top?? i would think malkin is either on the 3rd or 4th line? Garl 05-03-2007, 10:52 AM isnt morozovs line the top?? i would think malkin is either on the 3rd or 4th line? Malkin is on the 1st line. Den 05-03-2007, 10:59 AM Malkin is on the 1st line. ZZM is the 1st line, I think Garl 05-03-2007, 11:06 AM ZZM is the 1st line, I think If your consider ZZM as first, then Malkin's line is 2nd. not 3rd or 4th anyway. Kaktus 05-03-2007, 11:59 AM ZMZ is 1st line. Reaper45 05-03-2007, 12:22 PM How's Frolov doing? Den 05-03-2007, 01:29 PM How's Frolov doing? OK, better than Malkin. Kovy is the best NHLer for us on attack IMHO. phaneuf_fan_3 05-03-2007, 02:16 PM OK, better than Malkin. Kovy is the best NHLer for us on attack IMHO. Wow kovalev doing that well........thats surprising. Den 05-03-2007, 02:44 PM Wow kovalev doing that well........thats surprising. What? WpgPens 05-03-2007, 02:47 PM Wow kovalev doing that well........thats surprising. The other Kovy. Jaded-Fan 05-03-2007, 02:50 PM Malkin looked like he had slowed the last month of the season. I think that how much hockey he played this past couple of years (WJC's, RSL, Olympics, NHL) and him being used to the shorter year of the RSL - not to mention did not know the language, new team mates, leaving in the middle of the night and that whole soap opera. Now a cold. It is no surprise he has slowed some. Den 05-03-2007, 03:03 PM Malkin looked like he had slowed the last month of the season. I think that how much hockey he played this past couple of years (WJC's, RSL, Olympics, NHL) and him being used to the shorter year of the RSL Well, if you think of it, for RSL best players the year is not much shorter: a regular Malkin RSL year is 60 regular games + most of the PO's + WJC/U18 + WC. Probably more games than what he played for the Pens this year. I think it's more of a jetleg+cold that we are seeing. phaneuf_fan_3 05-03-2007, 10:09 PM The other Kovy. there is only 1 kovy and thats alexi kovalev.......i sure hope he wasnt referring to kovalchuk with his 2 assists. phaneuf_fan_3 05-03-2007, 10:12 PM Well, if you think of it, for RSL best players the year is not much shorter: a regular Malkin RSL year is 60 regular games + most of the PO's + WJC/U18 + WC. More like he has never played in a physical league like the NHL till this year and its worn him down over the season............really not much question about it........its fine he was a rookie and not used to it yet.........he will be ready and better prepared for it next season. Reaper45 05-03-2007, 10:17 PM Who are Frolov's linemates? msky 05-03-2007, 10:18 PM Kovalchuk-Malkin-Gonchar-Markov Den 05-04-2007, 03:44 AM there is only 1 kovy and thats alexi kovalev.......i sure hope he wasnt referring to kovalchuk with his 2 assists. Ha, ha, one let it be. Let's make the other one Covy or Kovie. Despite Kovy's two assists he has put the best effort out of all NHL forwards. Kap-the-Head 05-04-2007, 06:59 PM Malkin was the weakest link in his line ( Kovalchuk - Malkin - Frolov) in today's game againts Italy. And, yes, Kovalchuk is playing awesome right now. swisdan 05-05-2007, 07:58 AM Malkin was the weakest link in his line ( Kovalchuk - Malkin - Frolov) in today's game againts Italy. And, yes, Kovalchuk is playing awesome right now. Yes for sure, Kovalchuk plays very well at this worldchampionship. I'm disappointing about Ovechkin, it's possible it's not the kind of player Bykov likes a lot. Bykov want a team playing together. And Ove plays perhaps too alone.
