The Niedermayer brothers will try their skills at comedy when they appear on the "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Wednesday. Scott and Rob will take part in a sketch with comedian Harland Williams. The skit was taped in March.
Too bad that they aren't live guests, but whatevs. Any publicity=good publicity. Can't wait to see Rob do this.
misfit 05-01-2007, 11:25 AM Have they learned nothing in Anaheim? :shakehead
EDIT - nevermind, I didn't catch the part that said it was taped during the regular season.

Are you talking about the Giguere thing? Do you believe that honestly had any impact on the Cup Finals, other than that pipsqueak Gionta shooting off his mouth?
Personally, I would *love it* if the Ducks went on Leno or whomever and start talking trash about our playoff opponents. Make fun of the Sedins (who are easy marks) and Roberta Luongo. Say that Naslund is washed up. Laugh at how old Linden looks. Openly wonder how many playoff chokers Bryan Smolinski can be a part of. Throw a couple of barbs at Rory. Nothing's off limits!
And if the Ducks advance, you've got a choice between Snow Thornton or Pavel Datsyuk. That practically writes itself.
Danrik 05-01-2007, 12:38 PM Scott Neidermayer shouldn't make fun of how old anyone looks.... ;)
Bobby Ryan Getzlaf 05-03-2007, 12:14 AM They didn't mean tonight, did they? I was watching Leno, but nothing of the sort was on whatsoever during the early parts. Anyone know what happened?

I heard that it was maybe delayed. No real idea though. :dunno:
I'll update ya when I can. :)
snarktacular 05-03-2007, 11:13 AM OC Register:
""The Tonight Show" segment featuring Ducks defenseman Scott Niedermayer and right wing Rob Niedermayer that had been scheduled to air Wednesday has been delayed indefinitely by NBC."

Hahaha, watch one of Scott's kids kick his brother. Best part of the video.
snarktacular 05-04-2007, 02:35 AM Ha my favorite part is when he nails Bryz's pad with the donut and Bryz looks down perplexed and disgusted.
Chone 05-04-2007, 04:32 AM Gotta love Bryz. Everything he does is hilarious to me.
serialthrila13 05-04-2007, 08:36 AM Uhhh did Scott Neidermayer NOT shake hands last night? He seemed to get off the ice REALLY fast and head for the locker room? Just wondering if he was injured or what not. Otherwise it's not cool to skip the handshake...he knows it shows the respect. Good luck guys.

Snap Wilson 05-04-2007, 05:49 PM I liked the "now he's going to get ants" line. Very cute.
Quite a shirt Scotty was wearing there.

He did, he was one of the first ones in the line; that's why he was the first ones off the ice.
McDonald19 05-04-2007, 08:58 PM Was it pulled at the last minute because it wasn't that funny?
It's funny for us because we are Ducks fans...but I could see that video being boring for the average Leno viewer.
DucksWon'07 05-04-2007, 09:26 PM That was pretty funny. The picture quality from that link was terrible for me though. Was that the guy from Half Baked (I'm not a regular Leno viewer)?
