According to an article in the London (Ontario) Free Press today, Perry was involved in a tiff with Marc-Andre Fleury and that's one of the reasons why he didn't make the team..

Seems out of character for Fleury, who always seems like a nice guy and having a cool head.
Any Thoughts?

As a Penguins fan I hope it is all hearsay and not an ounce of truth to it.
Either that or I hope Perry is a real ******* so it isnt Marc Andre's fault for the arguement.
That is speaking entirely as a Pens fan and as an American.

Seems way out of character for Fleury, who is easily the most easy going hockey player I've seen.
Maybe Corry Perry is the hockey equivolent of Nick Van Exel in the NBA? ;)

Yeah, I agree. It just doesn't sound like something Fleury would do. I've seen him during interviews and he's totally happy-go-lucky.

The NHL scout said that in his mind and in the minds of many of his colleagues who attended the four-day camp in Kitchener, Perry was the third-best forward on the ice.
Gee, I wonder if the scout was from the Ducks.
This is clearly a bunch of BS, and I hope it blows over quickly.

"That would be totally out of character for Marc-Andre Fleury. And if anything had happened, I certainly would have known," Mackasey said.
"I don't put one ounce of truth in it."
Prolly the same scout that said he's glad Murray didn't trade Perry for Comrie.

This is also being discussed on the Prospect Board, so I'll just reiterate:
I don't know whether the incident happened or not (nor do I particularly care), but you need to understand that the London Free Press is only fit for lining birdcages or wrapping up leftovers. I seriously doubt that the reporter was in the hallway when the alleged incident took place, and the fact that Perry denies the rumour should lay it to rest.

I'm going to re-direct people to this thread on the Prospects Board.

I feel it belongs there as it has more to do with the players than the World U20 Tournament itself.
