The 3pm event that was scheduled for Saturday at CAA has been moved up to 12pm.
I am sure we will be hearing all of the non-Devs fans who had tix to this event complaining about the time change this week, with the always "sypathetic" anti-Devs media right on this story.

The Devils also announced that Game 1 will be on Thursday at 7:00 or 7:30 PM.

For a second, I thought you meant Midnight. I was laughing my *** off at the poor fools who bought tickets.

Try to buy some tickets for that event. Advance sales are total garbage, and it's far from something that is an "impulse buy".

The ice for that game Saturday night is going to be ****! The Ice Capades (whatever) uses softer ice than hockey. I guess they pushed the start back to try to bring the temp down, I don't expect much though.

I can't wait for Newark, will all the money they're putting into the Rock I expect the best ice in the USA.

If there's 3-4 hours between the figure skating and hockey, they can easily bring the ice temp down to ideal temperature for hockey in that time and harden it up. If I recall, the ideal temperature for ice hockey is a surface temp of 21-23 degrees, while figure skating is only a few degrees higher at 24-26.

As long as the stinkin' zoo ain't on before the game... it will be fine.

It will depend on who advances tonight and who else plays on Thursday. If Versus picks up the game expect a 7pm start, if not it may be at 7:30 although CBC will push hard for a 7pm start (which was the reason why the 1st round games started at 7).

Also, the ice should be fine.The ice sucks no matter what has taken place earlier in the day. At least the weather will cool down a bit later in the week.

I hope game 2 does start at 8pm. Matinees' ruins the day for me.

Man, this sucks, I paid big money to score tickets for the Killers at MSG on saturday night and I also have tickets for all Devils playoffs games. Was hoping the game would be on sunday.

Just refund the tickets for the 17 people who want to go see that stupid ice dancing. Better yet, just give them passes to go see Blades of Glory.

I am sure they can move the time up to 1:00 for that Champions on Ice if they have to. I cannot imagine a scenario in which we play at 1:00 on Sunday and have a Nets game scheduled for that night. Hell, they may even make it an 8:00 start for us Saturday night.

Just got back from a local Ticketmaster.. I told them I wanted tickets to Sat nights game.. Get my tickets and drive away.. Stop at a red light and see that it's tickets to Round 2 Home Game 3..

Went back there and the guy showed me that the Ticketmaster program has Game 1 Wed, Game 2 Fri, and Game 3 Sat the 28th ( @ CAA too)..

I did end up getting the right tickets in the end
