Too bad my exchange program only lasted for about 4 months....I was in OTtawa from September to Xmas and I witnessed that horrible 8 1. Man I would kill to go back and see us play there....Tough place to lay in, but we ll come out on top

If Jansen is in the line-up up against those quick Ottawa forwards and slick dman, Jersey will be out in 5. The difference is characters like Neil can mash but also play 12 mins a night, unlike the likes of Janssen or McGrattan can't play even 2 mins against top flight high tempo physical playoff team. Your top players will have to find away to stand up to it and dish something out.

I know there will be alot of Sens fans in New Jersey this series. There was in 03 and most likely will be this year.....

Tickets are almost sold out for game 3 and 4 in ottawa.

When are they planning to announce the dates? I have a life to plan and my wife wants to know what day (not plural) I can pencil her in.

I'm a big fan of his, but I don't agree. We could have brought him in for the Tampa series since the 4th line did not get many minutes. In this series, the 4 line will likely see more ice time, and Janssen can be a liability in the way he gets out of position to finish his checks.

The only way I see guys like Clarkson or Janssen getting in this series is if someone gets hurt. And i'm definitely hoping that doesn't happen.

If it's anything like 2003, thousands of Ottawa fans will come down to NJ for the games here. Especially Game-2 being a Saturday night game.
Devs fans need to go and buy tix for our home games to fill the seats and also keep them out of the hands of Ottawa fans. If they are unsold, Ottawa fans will certainly buy them.
It was nice to have virtually no Tampa fans at CAA last round.

"Goon matching" isn't exactly important in the playoffs IMO. Janssen doesn't really serve a purpose right now.

Somehow if Neil, Fisher, Shubert, Volchenkov, Eaves.. and crew were not intimidated by huge league heavyweight Georged Laraque who can even play few minutes of actual meaningfull playoff hockey, I doubt Janssen would be much of a concern.

Jersey would only hurt their chances to be competitive in this series if that was to happen and I think Lou is way too smart for that. You don't want to play vitualy 3 lines against a team whos 4th line sees at least 10 mins of ice per night in the playoffs and dominates at times.

Jersey's 4th line would be a mismatch for Ottawa's 4th line then even if they were to see only 2 mins of ice.

Don Lever is awesome..he lives across the street from me :yo: and Harry Neale down the street, they hang out together. When I was little, Don took me to sabre practices and I got to skate with the team..awesome guy.
