I Challenge You! (attn: Senator fans)

...to an avatar bet! What do you guys say? Losing team's fans (well, those who agree to join in the bet) agree to wear whatever avatar the winning team's fans pick out for the duration of the winning team's playoff run. You're a fun bunch of people, and I know most of you have a lot of respect for most of us, as well. This is the sort of thing that's a lot more fun between fans who get along than it would be with, say, Wild fans and Nuck fans.

Well, that's the thing. I think you guys have a much more heavily populated board than we do. But we're all good sports over there, by and large, so I think most of us will get in on it. I'll do my best to recruit as many Wild fans as possible.

Me neither. In fact, I never even heard of one like this before. I'm not sure where I even got the idea; I think it started when one of your guys, Obobo23, popped into the avatar thread over on our board and made a sorta facetious suggestion on what we should use for our playoff avatars. It all just sort of came to me, and I figured this would be the series to do it, since even if we go all the way to the Finals, we're not going to run into as good a bunch of fans as you Anaheimers. With other teams, there'll probably be a lot of tension and animosity, and this kind of thing wouldn't work as well in that kind of environment - or at least, not be as much fun.

Why not. I like the Wild enough not to be totally embarassed of it if we lose.

Everyone seems to love the Vintage jerseys, so I would go with Green and Blue if you're looking to base the avys off it. :)

I think terms should be until 2 days after the draft. This being HF (hockey's future, not histrionic-filled)boards, you know there will be plenty exposure of the embarrassing avatars with the draft.

The Wings just weren't as much fun with this challenge. I just didn't have any material to make good avatars out of. I guess there was another "pitchfork", and Hull, but it just wasn't as good as Vancouver for series specific stuff. That and there were like 2 fans who did the challenge.

The previous bets were that the avatars could be pretty much whatever your photoshop people can whip-up. We've been going with the 'stache thing, but if you look back in this thread, they don't really look like our playoff avatars other than that.

I'd basically say... anything is fair game at this point. The only real rule is that is has to be amusing.

I think the deal was until after the draft. Honestly, its all fun and games. I don't think any of us will hold you guys to the deal if you decide to change it before the draft.

The Friday one obviously isn't universal, but I can easily change that to Sens colors and say "Sens got knocked out" if anyone wants it. I just didn't want to change it if no one wants it.
