braincramp 03-29-2007, 07:12 PM Just jumped in here when the game had started and I couldn't find a GDT.
The following stolen from the Jackets GDT:
- The Blue Jackets are 12-8-1-1 all-time against the Ducks, including 7-3-0-0 in Nationwide Arena.
- This is the 3rd of 4 meeting between these clubs this season.
- The Blue Jackets are 2-0 against the Ducks, winning both in Anaheim.
- The Jackets can match a season high 5 game winning streak tonight.
- Chris Pronger, who has been out of the lineup for both match ups this season between these clubs, will be in the lineup tonight.
- Norrena is 2-0 with a .917 save percentage against the Ducks this season.
- Penner had 2 goals, his 27th and 28th of the season, last night in a 3-1 win in Chicago.
- Svitov has 0 goals and 3 assists in his past 16 games.

braincramp 03-29-2007, 07:22 PM Soft call on Pahlsson for holding.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 07:23 PM Moen called for hooking. Brief 5-on-3 for Jackets.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 07:26 PM Ducks D stops them at blue line. Even strength.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 07:29 PM Selanne with speed. Ducks on PP.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 07:35 PM Ducks look good on PP but no joy. DiPenta draws 2 for high stick.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 07:37 PM Ducks register third PK in first period.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 07:40 PM Getz with a beautiful move.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 07:44 PM Ducks on PK again, period runs out.
Both goalies looking good. Skill game, few noteworthy hits.
kilted duck 03-29-2007, 07:59 PM Ever feel like you're talking to yourself? :biglaugh:
braincramp 03-29-2007, 08:02 PM Ever feel like you're talking to yourself? :biglaugh:
I feel like an on-stage comedian not getting any laughs.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 08:04 PM Parros with another SOG.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 08:06 PM Vyborny with good move/shot, winds up in Jiggy's glove.
Joe Canada 03-29-2007, 08:07 PM Nice glove save by Giguere on a shot from the slot. Guess he can use it once in a while.
190Octane 03-29-2007, 08:12 PM I'm not sure who I'm rooting for in the Detroit-Nashville game.
I guess Detroit as much as it pains me so we have a better shot of catching Nashville?
braincramp 03-29-2007, 08:14 PM Shelley with a shot, called no goal on the ice, but looks good.
Reviewed; ruled a goal. Ducks down 0-1 at 6:40.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 08:15 PM Ducks on PP; holding on Feds.
190Octane 03-29-2007, 08:17 PM Is Fedorov still playing d?
braincramp 03-29-2007, 08:18 PM Is Fedorov still playing d?
Yes.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 08:19 PM Perry hit hard and goes into boards; taken to dressing room under own power.
190Octane 03-29-2007, 08:21 PM Perry hit hard and goes into boards; taken to dressing room under own power.
Anyone smack the guy who hit him?
braincramp 03-29-2007, 08:22 PM Parros with 4th SOG! Helps to have Marchant back, too.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 08:23 PM Anyone smack the guy who hit him?
No, but it did look like a clean hit, not from the back.
190Octane 03-29-2007, 08:25 PM Parros with 4th SOG! Helps to have Marchant back, too.
It scares me that Parros is leading in SOG and they're down 1-0.
Team not playing with any fire?
braincramp 03-29-2007, 08:28 PM It scares me that Parros is leading in SOG and they're down 1-0.
Team not playing with any fire?
Not exceptionally, but not asleep either. It is the second game of a back-to-back. It could be that they're trying to not run out of gas before the third period.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 08:33 PM I checked a scoreboard and they only have Parros with 1 SOG. Possibly one or two hit the defense. He's looking good, however.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 08:36 PM Perry hasn't returned. Selanne playing RW with Getzlaf and Penner.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 08:38 PM Play getting rougher with 1 minute left in 2nd. 4 on 4.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 08:40 PM Own goal. Ducks score. Pronger pass deflected into goal by Blue Jacket. 1-1.
soya_sauce_chicken 03-29-2007, 08:44 PM *sigh*
braincramp 03-29-2007, 09:01 PM That's what I get for being away. Feds makes it 2-1.
Corey Perry is back on the ice.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 09:02 PM Another disputed goal. It's in the Jackets net. Stand by.

soya_sauce_chicken 03-29-2007, 09:07 PM No goal, terrible officiating. You guys just got robbed.
please explain what you saw?
thanks
braincramp 03-29-2007, 09:07 PM No goal. Ref blows whistle in his mind, although it was too early anyway.
Selanne to Beauchemin, goal.
soya_sauce_chicken 03-29-2007, 09:09 PM No goal. Ref blows whistle in his mind, although it was too early anyway.
Selanne to Beauchemin, goal.
i hate that when it happens, but whenever the opposing team is on our side slapping our goalie around, the whistles are put away
EDIT: NVM, Assists from Selanne and Kunitz
cmcdmania 03-29-2007, 09:09 PM I'm listening on the radio. They say 2-2. Who scored the Ducks' goals?
Gravypan 03-29-2007, 09:13 PM Good teams overcome calls that like that.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 09:16 PM Ducks on PP. Let's go!
braincramp 03-29-2007, 09:17 PM Another own goal. Getz puts it in off a defender.
cmcdmania 03-29-2007, 09:17 PM Yay! Ducks lead.
soya_sauce_chicken 03-29-2007, 09:20 PM Selanne and Prongs with the assists
braincramp 03-29-2007, 09:30 PM Scrum in front of Ducks bench makes it 4-on-4, then BJs get a penalty. 4-on-3 in Ducks favor for one minute, then 5-on-4.
PubOFH 03-29-2007, 09:31 PM Nice...your guys bench do that often??? Moen always like that? Dont know much about him??:dunno:
Man...wish we still had Francois Beauchemin
braincramp 03-29-2007, 09:32 PM Pronger from top of the circle! 4-2.
braincramp 03-29-2007, 09:40 PM Selanne with EN goal. Final 5-2.
cmcdmania 03-29-2007, 09:40 PM Congrats Ducks! Who got the GWG?
Ducksforcup 03-29-2007, 09:41 PM WOOT! I am here in Ottawa on vacation and was worried sick about my Duckies especially considering that they were playing the Jackets.
Ducks! :handclap:
braincramp 03-29-2007, 09:44 PM Congrats Ducks! Who got the GWG?
Getz from Selanne and Pronger.
Randall Graves* 03-29-2007, 09:59 PM This was one of those games where they showed some mental toughness, having a goal taken away and coming back to score 4 unanswered goals was huge for the team.
Pronger and Niedermayer showed their value tonight they really played well.
Getzlaf to quote Pierre McGuire is a "Monster"
Parros is getting better too bad he and Shelley didn't fight.
Today was a good day all round.
Pepper 03-30-2007, 05:29 AM finally we beat that crappy Columbus, we should beat them comfortably in every game, Ducks are clearly better in every category.
Maybe Carlyle finally told the players during the 2nd intermission that they are playing against Columbus, not the Oilers of the 80's.
Lyons71 03-30-2007, 06:45 AM Pronger changed the game with that hit on Chimera. After that, he scores and the Ducks get going. Like above, finally they do what they're supposed to.
Pepper 03-30-2007, 10:10 AM Btw, it was funny how CBJ announcers kept calling Ducks #15 "Lupul". Those clueless morons.
mrmain18 03-30-2007, 04:41 PM What happened to Tim Brent? He wasn't on the roster for last night's game and I haven't found anything about him being sent down.
Ducksforcup 03-30-2007, 04:47 PM What happened to Tim Brent? He wasn't on the roster for last night's game and I haven't found anything about him being sent down.
According to Portland Head Coach Kevin Dineen on Satellite Hotstove, since Brent has been called up and back three times, they are having trouble sending him back down because of the 4 call-up rule. This rule would require him to go through waivers.
So unfortunatley, it looks like he is in limbo.

I had a sinking feeling he was stuck in some kind of waiver wire purgatory. Why try to send him down with 4 games left and Portland's season over? Unless this is some kind of post-deadline wavier-trade thing like they do in baseball, I don't get it. I would think he would be up for the playoffs anyway.
I think the hockey gods just don't want me to see him in Columbus next weekend. :pullhair:
