Just jumped in here when the game had started and I couldn't find a GDT.

Not exceptionally, but not asleep either. It is the second game of a back-to-back. It could be that they're trying to not run out of gas before the third period.

I checked a scoreboard and they only have Parros with 1 SOG. Possibly one or two hit the defense. He's looking good, however.

i hate that when it happens, but whenever the opposing team is on our side slapping our goalie around, the whistles are put away

This was one of those games where they showed some mental toughness, having a goal taken away and coming back to score 4 unanswered goals was huge for the team.

Pronger and Niedermayer showed their value tonight they really played well.

finally we beat that crappy Columbus, we should beat them comfortably in every game, Ducks are clearly better in every category.

Maybe Carlyle finally told the players during the 2nd intermission that they are playing against Columbus, not the Oilers of the 80's.

Pronger changed the game with that hit on Chimera. After that, he scores and the Ducks get going. Like above, finally they do what they're supposed to.

According to Portland Head Coach Kevin Dineen on Satellite Hotstove, since Brent has been called up and back three times, they are having trouble sending him back down because of the 4 call-up rule. This rule would require him to go through waivers.

So unfortunatley, it looks like he is in limbo.

I had a sinking feeling he was stuck in some kind of waiver wire purgatory. Why try to send him down with 4 games left and Portland's season over? Unless this is some kind of post-deadline wavier-trade thing like they do in baseball, I don't get it. I would think he would be up for the playoffs anyway.

I think the hockey gods just don't want me to see him in Columbus next weekend. :pullhair:
