I know there's a lot of talk about Elias, Gionta, Madden and Matvichuk etc...and rightfully so. But what about Jason Wiemer? Where is he? The regular season is almost over and we haven't heard or seen one single quote from the poor guy.
Isn't he a part of the team anymore? He had major knee surgery during the off-season but I expected to see even a minor note about him somewhere.
Will he be back? Has he retired? I really liked his play last season after we acquired him from Calgary. He's a big guy and a good skater. He was a perfect fit for that 4:th line last year.

Just what we need another guy who has limited offensive skills; although we could use some rugged wingers i will give u that

Bump.
I'd also like to know what happened to him. Why haven't we heard anything about his condition?

I don't think Wiemer will I doubt he's had any skating time and is probably out of shape.

true one problem faking an injury due to cap purposes is the guy will not be in game shape if you throw him into the fire. While it is a bit underhanded, it could come back to bite you in the butt.

I don't think it was a fake injury. I don't think anybody would do reconstruction on their knee unless they really had to.

Wiemer had major reconstructive knee surgery. I wouldn't be suprised if he threatened/ended his career.

It probably did. They already gave the #16 to Tuomas Pihlman, and as far as I know, they never do something like that to injured players only.
Wiemer probably retired, and no one even mentioned it. Poor guy.
