So I talked to one of my friends the other day and he works as a usher for the Toronto Marlies... He told me he bumped into a Devils scout while working the day of the AHL All-Star games. He asked the man who the Devils were interested and the man said Konstitsyn. Funny cause I was watching a bit of the Laffs/MTL game yesterday and he posterized Raycrap twice :D :D..the kid looks impressive and I want to see him in a Jersey sweater.

Habs won't trade him, they knew he was unpolished and would take longer to untap his potential. It would be poor asset management.

Julien has seen his development in the Habs system and Savard drafted him despite all the concerns over his problems with epilepsy at the time that was easily treated with proper medication. Highly skilled, taking time to adjust to NA style but seems to be finally breaking out this year in the AHL and now showing very good signs in the NHL.

But basically he's not likely to be traded because he's finally coming into his potential. But again, Savard drafted him and is very high on him.

If Bob were to trade off one of our youth it would be Perezhogin and not Kostitsyn. Kostitsyn is bigger, more physical, and has a stronger shot than Perezhogin, who's really fast but gets beat off the puck all the time. Due to the fact that Perezhogin can't play in the corners and battle as well as Kostitsyn (which I think will be our style for the coming seasons with Gainey and Carbonneau) he's the one more likely to leave.

They're both really talented but they need to be more consistent if they want to crack the top two lines regularly.

Montreal can keep him. We don't have a spot for the kid and I would be pissed off if we traded someone like Clarkson for Kostitsyn. He has no place on our top 2 lines, so basically there's no point.

Bergfors VS Kostitsyn maybe.... who knows.

I watched the game on sat and the Canadiens would be mad to let him go.2 great moves on Raycroft and he's very fast aswell.

lol another suglobov. Who the hell is Suglobov?(I know who he is, I just think the comparison is ridiculous at best)

Andrei was drafted 10th overall 2003, and would have been a top 3 choice if there wasnt concerns about is health(epilepsy).

The habs took 2 decision that tells you he wont be traded.

1) Drafted the brother.
2) Drafted M.Grabovski Andrei's partner in crime.

Andrei is a top prospect, hes just starting to wow the fans.

i bet a lot of teams are interested in him, does it mean anything, probably not. scouts are at games all the time and this was before the trade deadline, sorry i dont mean to sound rude.

Typic Montreal Fan...The two lines are set. Egg Line PzL Line.Clarkson could move up on the Checking line, And , i would be pissed off if Lou traded Clarskon.

And,... Its not because of 2games the guy is great.I'll check him more next season.

i have my doubts that the scout is just gonna drop the name of who he is looking at to someone that he bumps into.

kostitsyn is not a good fit for the devils. he likes to hold the puck, make plays and take risks. unless the devils want to take another kid with upside of 80+ points and turn him into a 50pt max guy i don't see this happening.

though, given the kid could have played all year in the NHL and MTL is a hot bed of anti-russian player buzz... one never knows.

NJ would be lucky to get him and MTL would be insane to trade him.

wasn't Kostitsyn drafted before Parise? Bergeron came after him aswell, so I think it's time he starts to produce.
