Request: ESPN SportsCenter Devils thing...

Do any of you know where I can find the ESPN commercial celebrating the NJ Stanley Cup win with Bon Jovi, and all the other good NJ things?

I know the commercial and probably have it on VHS somewhere amongst all my taped games but I don't know anywhere online. Sorry.

Sorry, as I burn games to DVD if I come across I will pull it out and put it on you tube or something. I'm still in the 80s though as my pace has slowed greatly since we bought the new house. Plus I promised Killinger I'd burn him the Heaven tape over a month ago to DVD so that's next on the list in the near future.

I do believe they did... or it was ESPN. But I do remember watching it.

yea im pretty sure there was one also, if im not mistaking, it started out with one of the ESPN guys talking to Dano, sayin how it has been a good year for jersey and then bon jovi appeared and played that its my life song

Yeah and they had cheerleaders from Rutgers and other NJ people dancing around in the studio while Bon Jovi was playing.

It wasn't a Devils commercial per say. It was a This is Sportscenter Commercial with the theme being New Jersey. It started off with Dano with the cup with one of the anchors saying "It's been a good year for New Jersey, the Devils won the cup". Then Dano said, "And the Nets drafted Kenyan Martin number 1" and then something about a new Bon Jovi Album. Then they walked into the Sportscenter newsroom where Bin Jovi was playing and a bunch of people were dancing with New Jersey signs.

I remember when it was made but it hardly ever aired. I haven't been able to find it.

Great list but I'd say that's a way incomplete archive. They've had so many more than that over the years.

I remember one year they had a Friday's on Sportscenter campaign and they had this big tailgate party in the parking lot, Olbermann was playing an olympic swimmer in poker for her gold medals but they kept showing this kid trying to sneak in to the party and Dano was playing bouncer and kept chasing him out. The last scene was Dano catching him again and dropping his gloves and the kid yelling and running away. It was a riot - this was in the 90s I think.

It was called "Jersey Day" and everywhere i looked it was pulled. May be Myspace or You tube has it...
