I believe he left a few years ago to play in Russia and probably isn't going to play in the NHL again. It was more of less trading problems between the 2 teams.

That is pretty sad, he looked like such a talented player...

when he was in sj his daughter often attended a summer camp at my work where i was a camp counsler. he came in a few times to pick her up, but my understanding from a co-worker(she is a close family friend to the korolyuk's) is that he vists from russia for 1 month in the summer and has no plans to move back to north america

I agree, he is having a pretty good year in Russia but nothing beats the NHL.

Point per game is VERY good in the RSL. Not to mention he leads the team.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Devils have the rights to Korolyuk if he returns to the NHL. I think he is required to play one season in New Jersey if he wants to play in the NHL again.

He just turned 31, so there is a chance he might want to come back to North America in the next few seasons.

he has to play for nj, unless the devils trade his rights. i know this might sound weird, but my friend whose family friends with him said his family loves russia and doesnt plan on coming back. he is making base salary wise, a little bit less in russia, but he doesnt pay as much in taxes.

I can understand a player wanting play in his home country.

He is SOOOOOOOOO overrated in that game.

Hes like Ovechkin good in NHL07. Makes great trade bait though, like Mogilny :)
