DevilsFan38 02-09-2007, 07:31 PM Good stuff (http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app/?service=page&page=NewsPage&articleid=288769)
This season, Brodeur has been so successful and so important to the New Jersey Devils that he gets Ice Age's nod for the Hart Trophy as the league's regular season MVP
I completely agree :handclap:

Oh, that Gomer! :biglaugh:

Lost Kangaroo 02-10-2007, 08:21 AM As an Islander fan, I say that as far as I am concerned, there is no way that he should not win. Hands down no brainer. I dont speak for all Isles fans, just my opinion.
Jonathan. 02-10-2007, 08:47 AM As LK said, this is a hands down, no brainer.
Lost Kangaroo 02-10-2007, 09:48 AM Heres a thought, Martys only real competition thus far is Crosby, as we all know Marty is a goalie, Crosby is a center.
So far this season,
games played
Marty - 53
Sidney - 51
I dont know how he plays so much and maintains such a high level. Its amazing.
JimEIV 02-10-2007, 10:02 AM Its going to be REAL Close....I'd bet this becomes the closest vote in a very long time

I noticed that Marty was always 2nd best to Hasek before his retirement. :p:
hebegb 02-10-2007, 12:11 PM I noticed that Marty was always 2nd best to Hasek before his retirement.
Hasek retired?
I guess Detroit found a good lookalike to stuff in his jersey. :dunno:
devsfan8 02-10-2007, 12:19 PM The question is not if Brodeur has the goods to win the Hart this season, but rather if he gets enough respect and recognition to actually have the most votes to win MVP.
I would think if he leads in at least 3 out of the 4 categories and stays close to the toip of GAA and the Devils win 50 games, and the regular season Conference title it would be hard not to give it to him.
I think the league would rather see Crosby win it.
Brodeur gets the Vezina hands down. He deserves the Hart but I am not sure he would win it.
bense27 02-10-2007, 01:19 PM I think they should give it to Marty just because he is so much older and has never won the Hart. Crosby still has many many seasons ahead of him to win it.
