Martin Brodeur will be on the Jim Rome radio show today. Sorry, but I don't know what station you can pick it up on out there or even exactly what time he is going to be on. Maybe someone else can give that info.

It was a pretty good interview. They talked about Brodeur trying to catch Roy in total wins....Brodeur thought it would be tough, but not unattainable.
They also talked about the difference between winning a Stanley Cup and an Olympic gold medal.....Brodeur liked the Stanley Cup more because the NHL team is together longer and working harder than an Olympic team. They also talked about goalies and their weird quirks....Scott Gomez had been on Rome a few weeks ago and said the that although most goalies are weird (especially before game-time), Brodeur is a pretty normal guy. Brodeur said he doesn't waste his energy or time getting psyched up for a game, rather he is very comfortable due to his experience on the ice and then just goes out there and does his best.

The quote "Why should I bother wasting my time being weird" was clutch!:biglaugh:

Did Rome get into the "boring hockey", "trap", "what does the NHL need to do to get more scoring?" usual banter?

The only thing I remember is him jumping on the Kings bandwagon when he had the show on ESPN2.

I also remember when Jim Everett wanted to knock him out too.

Not this time. Scott Gomez was on a couple week prior and said that a lot of goalies are really weird and you can't talk to them on gamedays....but not Brodeur because he is a normal guy. A lot of Jim Rome's questions were based on that prior conversation.
