What happen to Lupul?

Simple question. Complex answer though. Seriously what happen to this guy? He's playing on a better line (IMHO). Makes the Pronger deal look kinda crappy right now, given how good Pronger's season is turning out.

One reason is that Lupul has always been a streaky scorer. Doesn't score for a while, then scores in bunches the next games. Another reason may be that Lupul misses Southern California (Who wouldn't :D)?

GL Joffrey! Still miss ya! :)

Well hopefully he pickups his game, otherwise I hate to see his stock go down like this. He had such a promising career with the Ducks.

Effort, effort, effort, kids. He's got his paper, he's not going to push to make things happen. Next contract year you'll see more juice from him.

For the Edmonton fans out there, I must ask, is the media ripping him up right now? I mean, he's the hometown kid, centrepiece of the Chris Pronger deal, rising star in this league, and he's performing below expectations(or at least some think so). If so, I figured that'd be the case, as the Edmonton media would start ripping into him because he's so streaky. I'm guessing they'll love him again once he goes on a tear, and that's probably how his career as an Oiler will work out.

I kinda feel for the guy. He's got all this pressure on him as an Oiler(all the things I stated above), but because he's simply a streaky player, he could get right ripped up by the media for not fufilling expectations. If this is the case, I wouldn't be surprised to see him come back here someday, as the pressure here is nowhere near that of that in any Canadian city.

The sad part is that I think Lupul would be having a break-out year if he had stayed in Anaheim. With the way Penner and Marchant have played, Lupul should have scored at least 15 goals, 30 pts right now.

Doesn't seem like too much pressure on him now. But when the Oilers aren't winning the games that they should be because of defense issues, then you bet the spot light will in on him.

I think that it is a strong possibility. Lupul clearly loves the area and the relative quiet. I would think that he will come back eventually.

The entire offense up here has yet to live up to the hype before the season, and that includes Lupul. Many figured Edmonton to have the deepest group of forwards in the NHL, but it's not looking that way right now. I haven't heard too much media pressure on Lupul, but it may come from them, and the fans if he doesn't start scoring like Gretzky. :banghead:

I wish, and hope people up here will be patient throughout this season.

Nothing happened to Lupul. That's Lupul. He only plays about 25% of the games.

The Pronger Trade was never gonna look good, even if lupul scored 35 + goals.

those many people were mostly from HF, which is meaningless. It was obvious from the end of Training the Camp the Oilers Offense was not as deep as people on HF made them out to be.

Yeah, but do you have the option of jobs in 29 other warmer cities? If I did, I'd take it.

Well there's nothing wrong in wanting to play a contender and not having to shovel 1 metre of snow every morning to get to the practise.
