pdxshark 12-27-2006, 03:39 AM I havent seen him in the NHL yet but my last memory of him was him stealing a playoff series from my winter hawks :banghead:
Was a great junior goalie but i've never heard how good of a prospect he is.
TheJoeMan 12-27-2006, 06:18 AM He's pretty good for an undrafted rookie. Makes me nervous though. One good thing about him though is the team in front of him really clamps don't when he plays. I mean really clamps down.
codycanuck24 12-27-2006, 02:53 PM would he be a good fantasy pickup or are giggy and ilya coming back soon
in other words will he gets some starts in the upcoming games?
Pwnasaurus 12-27-2006, 02:59 PM He looked awesome stopping all 4 rockets last night.
dhasek3910 12-27-2006, 07:04 PM who's the starter/backup in anaheim now?
Wall/McKee I guess. We might try and sign someone for a bit, or pick someone up form waivers if a chance shows it's self. Until then, Neids and Pronger need to be in total shut down mode.
Killerbeez 12-27-2006, 07:23 PM Wall has a tough time stopping beach balls in the ahl....should be quite a show in anaheim. Not sold on him as a top tier ahl goalie let alone an nhl one.
wildcat48 12-27-2006, 10:57 PM Actually I think it will be Wall and Marsters, but that is still up in the air.
Where's the Mighty 12-27-2006, 11:35 PM Hey guys we have a Wall behind our defense... ;) We'll never get scored on.
TheRedHead 12-28-2006, 12:03 AM I think he has potential. The team comes together when he is in the net (we should do that more often too). I'm not super concerned.
Claudio_Sanchez 12-28-2006, 04:07 AM Hey guys we have a Wall behind our defense... ;) We'll never get scored on.
more like we'll never get shot on.:biglaugh:
I have a good feeling about Wall, I see a lot of potential in him. From the little I have seen of him, I really like his goaltending style. Hopefully he can live up to his last name.
codycanuck24 12-28-2006, 01:49 PM will he start the next few games
Earl Sleek 12-28-2006, 05:34 PM One good thing about him though is the team in front of him really clamps don't when he plays. I mean really clamps down.
Did a little research.
Thus far, in front of M. Wall, Anaheim skaters have blocked 23 shots.
That, incidentally, is the same number of shots that Wall has stopped himself.
Randall Graves* 12-28-2006, 07:26 PM I think his potential is to be a decent to good backup down the road. We are very fortunate that this team isn't scratching and clawing for a playoff spot like last year.
snarktacular 12-28-2006, 07:49 PM I think his potential is to be a decent to good backup down the road. We are very fortunate that this team isn't scratching and clawing for a playoff spot like last year.
Yeah because if the team was scratching and clawing Carlyle might be tempted to play Jiggy too much so he'll get injured again. Oh wait...
lux_interior 12-28-2006, 10:16 PM From what I've seen he's decent at stopping shots, but not so good at rebound control.
Snap Wilson 12-29-2006, 05:11 PM What's Caron's status? Is he coming to the big club?
CHRDANHUTCH 12-29-2006, 05:24 PM What's Caron's status? Is he coming to the big club?
same MO as what BB tried to do by recalling Leighton too fast which ended up burning BB in the recall waiver fiasco .
Unlikely they'd try that again---pray JS Or Bryz can maintain health status from now on.
