Just got it for Christmas, very cool. Anybody else? Any thoughts?:dunno:

For those of you who haven't played it, among the questionable decisions made by producers on the default Duck's roster was Fedoruk on the 1st line w/ Teemu an Andy-Mac, Hedi is on there, Pronger is #7 not 25, and Bruno is on there, but he is #8 an Teemu is #13.:biglaugh:

I got it mastered the game in a week....beat dynasty mode with the leafs lmao, won the cup 10 years straight and didn't lose a game for 5 years straight. For the first two years my first line was Staal Crosby and Ovechkin and the second line was Tanguay Spezza Hossa third Gretlaf Wolski and someoen else and 4th all good team. Goaltender is Kipprusuff and def is Pitkanen Pronger Michalek Kaberle White and Liles

White becomes good in Dynasty mode and Wolski and Gretzlaf becomes like 95s. Trading is simple just to get the hang of it (ie 76-77-78) and to score lol, just go down the left wing with a speedy player and then go straight across the net and pop her in. If you want a shutout just go into the 5 player formation in the opponents zone. The opponent will freeze if you freeze and then you can score when you want. Easy game, however its fun. When you win the cup the celebrations takes a while to complete.

Enjoy

Did you get the Xbox 360 version or the non-xbox 360 version?

Two completely different games. The one for the 360 is absolutely incredible, the one for the other platforms are a joke.

I think the downfall to the game is no speed boost button. Plus the fights suck. It may be more realistic, but in all honesty for the first time in a long time, I avoid fights in a hockey game. I also wish that the wingers would kind of stay where they should and not just skate in random places when you have the puck. I don't like Niedermayer being behind the net.

(I have the 360 version.)

The game is extremely unrealistic in its rating off teams and players. After I got the roster updates they rated the Kings an 85 and the Ducks an 83? :shakehead The new controls are awesome though. I predict next year EA will thump 2K in hockey. The only thing EA needs to fix is the AI and the realism in player and team ratings. 2K needs to overhaul the gameplay as it's getting pretty stale.

Woohoo! We Win at something. Although everyone agrees that is sad and should not even be close to how it should be.

What annoyed me when I got the game was number changes. I understand the Pronger 7 and 25 problem since he originally started at 7 no big deal there. But in the copy I got Rob Niedermayer somehow became #43. Lubomir Visnovsky didn't have 17 and it was all screwy.

Personally EA sucks now and I like the 2K series better. It's dissapointing. Really both of them are. Where's NHL 94 when you need it.

I gotta say NHL 95 > NHL 94

I own both EA NHL 07 and 2Ks NHL 2k7 for X-box 360. Sure, EA has better graphics, neat stick control and more hype, but i have to say 2K7, IMO, is the better game with its gameplay and the many features it offers.

I ordered NHL 2K7 for my PS2 yesterday because most people say its more realistic, but they also say NHL 07 has better graphics. Can you guys confirm this? I guess if I had to choose, Id take the gameplay over the graphics.

Both games are quite flawed, but give entire different interpretations of what video game hockey should be. I've played 2k for a while, and I tend to enjoy it more than EA's interpretation. I feel like I can adjust the sliders to get a pretty realistic game out of it much easier than I can with EA. EA does have better graphics and is more polished, while 2k has bugs up the arse which may or may not ruin it for you, depending on how anal you are.
