Check the Devils website. LaCouture is still up with the Devils... he hasn't been sent back to Lowell yet. I thought that having both him and Janssen up would put us over the cap, but apparently we still have room.

The Devils come close, but again no cigar. While moral victories mean nothing, I would like to point out that about a month ago or so, the Devils would have folded up like a tent after that Hnidy goal. The fact that the Devils are still skating and looking for that equalizer is somewhat comforting when you consider that.

I think Pandolfo was the nearest forward to Kozlov on that goal. Another Devils player was out of position behind the net.

The Thrashers are rolling, but the Devils are falling apart. That takeaway almost spelled certain doom for any chances at a comeback. I agree with Chico, the Devils will need to take some risks and make something happen.

The Thrashers will win 5-2. The game as a whole was up-tempo, exciting hockey. Unfortunately, the Thrashers got most of the breaks and most of the goals. Atlanta continues to have NJ's number as if they are on the Island. Sucks, but that's the way the puck bounces.

Good news is that the Rangers choked away a 3-0 lead in the first 6 minutes of the third in Tampa so the Devils might hold onto to 1st despite a loss tonight. Right now 3-3 with about 11 minutes to go.

Richards and Boyle came up big for Tampa Bay. Boyle just made it 4-3 getting a hat trick.

They've been fairly consistent. Beat decent/mediocre teams, lose to good ones.

When I left for dinner it was 2-2 and from your posts it sounded like the Devils were playing pretty well...what on earth happened? Oh well, another loss to Atlanta, for some reason they really seem to have our number.
