Who is favorite this year?kostitsyn1489 12-20-2006, 02:09 PM I didnt hear much about which team is the favorite this year. Canada looks to be the best team out there but are they favorite? And which of the top team doesnt have a good team? Which team could so better then excepted? Any kind of info would be nice! I'm writing something about WJC and I'm looking for some more info. SChan* 12-20-2006, 02:18 PM Canada johnny canuckistan 12-20-2006, 02:34 PM Canada is always a favourite, but the U.S.A. team also has many excellent players, such as Jack and Erik Johnson, Jack Skille, Brian Lee, and Patrick Kane. Both Sweden and Czech Republic are reputed to be very strong, and the Russians usually have a very good team (two silver medals in a row). Finland is considered to have a somewhat weak team this year, although they have an excellent goaltender, and they usually play very well in international competition. Before this tournament started I would have said Canada but now I say the US. For some reason I don't think Canada will win.
