Johnson Zimmerman/Lee McBain Forwards: Kane-Mueller-Gerbe Okposo-Lewis-Stoa vanRiemsdyk-Abdelkader-Skille Sweatt-Carman-Geoffrion Fraser espo 12-20-2006, 11:21 AM Ah,they have split the Johnsons up.Probably on together for PP's. Wise i think. Langway 12-20-2006, 11:25 AM Pavelec was pulled at 29:51, after allowing four. Zatkoff is in net for the U.S. It's now 6-3. Here's the scoring so far: Czech--Cerny (Rakos, Kveton) USA--Gerbe (Kane) USA--Carman (Chorney) Czech--Sobotka (Kana, Vojta) 5-on-3 PP USA--Van Riemsdyk (E.Johnson, Kane) 5-on-3 PP USA--J.Johnson (Mueller, Okposo) 5-on-4 PP USA--Gerbe (Kane, Mueller) USA--Lewis (Okposo, Stoa) Czech--Frolik (Voracek, Barton) PuckheadMcGillycuddy 12-20-2006, 11:35 AM Looks like a solid effort for an opener. Hat trick for Gerbe and four assists from Kane. espo 12-20-2006, 11:48 AM Gerbe....................there you go!!! like hell he should'nt be there. Jonathan. 12-20-2006, 11:52 AM Nice to see JVR and Kane getting PP time. Rabid Ranger 12-20-2006, 12:04 PM Nice to see JVR and Kane getting PP time. I think JVR's going to get significant minutes in this tourney. Kane's going to make Pierre McGuire pee his pants. J17 Vs Proclamation 12-20-2006, 12:08 PM Does anybody know how Frolik looked? Jonathan. 12-20-2006, 12:09 PM I think JVR's going to get significant minutes in this tourney. Kane's going to make Pierre McGuire pee his pants. JVR is only going to increase his draft status with this tourney. I think you can possibly see him, Kane, and Gagner going 1-2-3 in some order or another. espo 12-20-2006, 12:09 PM Correction, the next Zach Parise is going to make Maguire pee his pants. PuckheadMcGillycuddy 12-20-2006, 12:10 PM Does anybody know how Frolik looked? He scored the final Czech goal in the third period. orangeandblack 12-20-2006, 01:03 PM was the final 6-4? Rabid Ranger 12-20-2006, 01:04 PM was the final 6-4? 6-3. Looks like Zatkoff had a good game. Bluenote13 12-20-2006, 01:09 PM JVR is only going to increase his draft status with this tourney. I think you can possibly see him, Kane, and Gagner going 1-2-3 in some order or another. Yeah, but whatever you do, just don't jump the gun...oop...too late :sarcasm: Zine 12-20-2006, 01:15 PM Did the US seem like the better team overall? -- looks like Pavalec might have let in a few softies for the Czechs. Good to see Zatkoff in net for the US; I don't have too much confidence in Frazee. BleedBlue44 12-20-2006, 01:28 PM EJ and Kana on the scoreboard.. I like it :yo: s7ark 12-20-2006, 01:33 PM Chorney gets an assist. Plenty of penalty trouble for the U.S. (as usual). St.Louis sports fan 12-20-2006, 04:26 PM Gerbe....................there you go!!! like hell he should'nt be there. Relax, the tourney hasn't even started yet. I based my opinion off of his lack of performance last year. He sucked and that's undenieable. I am hoping he plays well. I'm not a hater, just disappointed that he didn't step up last year. espo 12-20-2006, 06:07 PM Relax, the tourney hasn't even started yet. I based my opinion off of his lack of performance last year. He sucked and that's undenieable. I am hoping he plays well. I'm not a hater, just disappointed that he didn't step up last year. I know you're not a hater.I'm sure you want to see the guy do well because if he does well it can only mean good things for the team you root for. But you said he sucked last year(and it's not undeniable because i denied it) and i saw a completely different player from the guy you saw and said so.You were skeptical and i was'nt and today he goes out and gets a hat-trick,exhibition or not............it's a plus!!! I can't help but say something. And i'm still relaxed!! I don't think you'll blame me. St.Louis sports fan 12-20-2006, 08:34 PM If there is room on the Nate Gerbe band-wagon then I'll jump aboard. Smaller players with skill, effort, and a big heart have always been dear to my heart which is probably why I was more disappointed with his, my perceived, lack of impact in last years tourney. I probably watched him closer than most because he played on TJ Oshie's line and I was rooting for them to put up big points, but it just didn't work out. Off to a good start anyhow. espo 12-20-2006, 08:46 PM If there is room on the Nate Gerbe band-wagon then I'll jump aboard.
