Daneyko

So, I've been stuck sequestered in Chicago since before the season started and I've just returned home and this is the first pregame broadcast I've really watched since.

One thing keeps striking me: Ken Daneyko looks really, really good.

He's speaking with confidence, looks really good, and has a full mouth of teeth. It makes me so very happy, as a Devils fan, to see Daneyko looking so well. He's fought through all his problems, personal and professional, to reach the point where he is now. I still see Daneyko in 2003 with that gaping smile of his, looking like the raggedy 80 year old general who came out of retirement for one last shot at the glory.

I don't know why I'm even bothering to post this, but it seriously makes me so happy.

I love Dano. He is the quintessential Devil - hard-working, defense-first team player. And he spent his whole career in Jersey.

I don't think a lot of organizations would have retired his number, because he was never an all-star kind of player. But he was one of the cornerstones of the franchise, and I was thrilled when the Devils decided to hang #3 from the rafters.

Well when you look at Daneyko he doesn't look so...old. Thats probably because he decided he had enough fair and buzzed it all off. At least he doesn't have anymore greys...

You need to get slingbox, its a lifesaver at college.

It is great seeing Dano make a contribution to the Devils broadcast. He's usually very insightful and even handed without being dull. And of course its great to see him look good in general as well.

Dano circa 03 playoffs is the last guy I'd want to run into coming across the blue line, jesus he looks scary.

Hopefully daneyko can keep his head on straight and not lose anymore of his self to the dark side
