With defensemen Bryan Berard and Steve McCarthy questionable for tomorrow night's game vs. San Jose, the Hawks have recalled Johnathan Aitken. Aitken skated with the team this morning.

we should trade Aitken to the Wild. Maybe they could do something with him.

How is Aitken looking so far?

Obviously considered a huge bust from a Bruins perspective, but he didn't play too bad towards the end of his tenure in Providence/brief call-up to Boston. I was actually a bit surprised they let him go when they did, figuring the Bs would give him one more year.

What's the story from the Hawks perspective?

According to admirals fans Aitken was absolutely brutal last year. He was a slow turnstyle that took bad penalties. They seem to be a little surprised that this year he's a lot more dependable. It's more of a question now if he can keep it up. Dunno how he's done in the NHL though...

He's actually been pretty good and using his size well in front of the net.

Bah, I'd rather have seen Babchuk get his first cup of coffee.
