Rouyn-Noranda Huskies

Hallo Guys,

Do we have in this forum somebody that knows the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and is so kind to help me with some answers?

Any comments on Giulio Scandella.
Look like he is hot this season.
Any chance for him to get an NHL contract as a Free Agent?
Did he ever attended an NHL camp?

Also ... What about Tristan Vauclair.
I heard he is no longer with the Huskies! What happened!
I know he was not playing much, while he is not able to play much in the Q. But I though he was going to finish the season there.

Guilio Scandella is a very good offensive player, has a great skating ability and doesn't shy away from contact. That being said, Scandella has been tabbed as a 'smaller' player and of course the NHL scouts don't think he can handle the rigours of professional hockey. He has a very good all around game, and is the unquestioned leader of the Huskies. I don't believe he ever attended an NHL camp, although I may be mistaken. I remember in his draft year he was considered one of the top prospects from the Q, but had a tough season and ended up not getting drafted. I think he could possibly put together a pro tryout at the end of the season.

As for Tristan, he was doing alright in Rouyn, but I dont think he was entirely happy with his role, playing a 3rd line checking role. He is a good skater who has a really wicked shot that he very rarely got to uncork. He recieved an offer from his former club, HC Ajoie to play in the Swiss LNB and he took the offer. It is too bad, because I liked watching Trist play, he was a good responsible player who adapted well to the North American game.

Scandella attended Chicago camp. They were impressed and are probably going to offer him a contract after this season.
