The Paper-cut?......very small/hard to catch, and can sting in an instant. no matter which way you slice it there will always be red....after a quick papercut or gionta strike, you'll always be left saying "****"......it happens so fast doesnt it? Toronto sure knows.....

Lmao the paper-cut thats the wussiest sounding nickname I've heard for along time, why not go for the puppy, or the soft-served ice-cream cone.

Scott Gomez- The Mexican Missile
Brian Gionta- the Rochester Rocket

Now come up with one for Parise along those lines.

Gionta is either the Rochester Rocket, a name coined by Chico Resch, or Gio. Gio is the simple on-ice nickname used to yell instructions by his teammates, not unlike Whitey, Patty, Pando, Sarge or Gomer.

A funny story that I have posted previously involves Gionta wanting to be called "G-Love" by his teammates. He told them to call him that, but they called him "glove" instead.

Gomez was called the Mexican Missile in juniors. Either Doc or Chico (great nicknames for our announcers by the way) found that out from Gomer last season.

Papercut was a master of oregomi and loved to challange people to paper-rocks-scissors, always chosing paper of course.

Rochester Rocket is so stupid, it's like "The Red Rocket" Matt Bonner. I think Mr. 3rd Period is the best name for him coined by me.

Gio Metro? Affordable, compact, and efficient.

Also easily misconstrued as him being a metrosexual. PASS. Nice try though, since he is compact and reliable, haha.

Maybe I missed something... why change from the good old little G ?Because he comes up too big. Also, his little brother Stephen is playing for the Devils AHL affiliate, the Lowell Devils.

The Big G !

There was the Big E, now there is the Big G, not exactly the same size but the big G make things happen !

Ha ha ha.... dunno... I like the little G nickname.

(The) Zach Attack is the one I hear used most often for Parise.

I think "Little G" sounds a little too cutesy at this point for Gio, especially considering the "Little-er G" in Lowell... So how about "G Money"...as a clutch 3rd period goal is in money in the bank.

He was also Elaine's boyfriend Jack/The Wiz on an episode of Seinfeld.

Older Pete (Mike Maronna) was great as Stewart in those Ameritrade commercials, but I didn't even know it was him until my brother told me. I was shocked. He looked like he took his Pete and Pete money and spent it on mind-expanding drugs.

Also, is Younger Pete (Danny Tamberelli) in a band or just drinking beer in these bars on Long Island?

Hey blowhole, wherever you are! In 45 minutes I'm gonna be famous. You know what your gonna be? A blowhole!!!- (Younger) Pete Wrigley
