So, the first few games, johnny has seemed a bit timid, but done his job. I saw him start to show his teeth a bit in the Rags game after some board action from Hollweg (Janssen needs to put him in his place again).
When do you think this kid will settle in and we'll see some more grit from him?

Totally off topic, but any Opie and Anthony fan has got to love this guy's name.

If Luko can play with Fahey, I would like to keep Oduya and Rafalski together for now. He seemed very comfortable out there with him.

I'd be more willing to see Oduya tied to White or Lukowich. Here is what we know about Oduya: he's upbeat, solid hitter, and has a solid shot. His skating also seems to be above average for the NHL. The Devils are in dire need of a defenseman not named Paul Martin that can provide some offense (because Rafalski looks atrocious out there) and who knows if Johnny has the tools to do it day in and day out.
It might be a bit early for experimentation, but give it a whirl.
He definitely needs some time on the PP. he can't be worse at the point than whatever 4th forward Julien's used. in fact, Gomez and Rafalski are apparently having a competition to see who can play the worst on the man advantage.
Gomez is winning.
